Frozen Food

I just got done eating these veggies and chicken that came from the brand called VIOLA i think. It had chicken lots of veggies in it and i also added a whole onion and a can of mushrooms. Do you that that was unhealthy to eat a frozen bag of veggies n chicken. 1-1/2 cup of it had 180 calories and 5g of fat, 21 carbs 16g of protien 4g of dietary fiber. But i didnt eat the whole bag around half of it and saved it to take for my lunch tomorrow.

My concerns aren't the nutrition info, but the ingredients. Is it *just* the veggies and chicken? Or are there other added preservatives, oils, etc.? I would post the ingredient list

Ingredients:Carrots, fully cooked diced chicken breast meat with rib meat (chicken breast meat with rib meat, water, isolated soy protein product (isolated soy protein, modified food starch, starch, carrageenan with less than 2% lecithin), salt, sodium phosphates, carrageenan) onions, peas, corn.

indeed. You can't go solely by the fact that it's low in calories and fat - always check the ingredients list.
You could always buy bags of regular frozen veggies (JUST the veggies) and cook it with chicken and whatever else you'd like to add. Frozen veggies always taste fine (so long as they're not freezer-burned) and are sometimes quicker than fresh because you don't have to spend a lot of time prepping them.

lol i dont think im gonna have that for lunch tomorrow...Hey i need help on this i know ur gonna say i asked u this a previous time but i forget honestly
Today i had
Breakfast: Cup of oatmeal

Lunch: (it was a big lunch i was shopping ate at garfields and passed up a fried fudge brownie that my mom was eating right beside me) I had Sirlon steak and garlic herb shrimp on skewers with a baked potato (plain) clam chowder, ceaser salad didnt eat the crutons and a piece of garlic toast. I only ate half of my baked potato i cut all of the fat off my steak and still had pieces left on my plate but ate all of the rest.

Snack at sams club they cut these protein bars in 4 pieces and i ate a piece of that

Dinner: What i just told u about but 1.5 cups of it

Now this is my real question Should be my cheat meal? Because since its Easter n all i wanted either A butterfinger bunny or easter snicker eggs.
But u tell me what i should do tomorrow this is what i'll be having

6:30 Breakfast: 1/2 cup or 1 cup of oatmeal

9-10 Snack: Apple

12-1ish Lunch: 2 slices of 100% whole wheat bread with mustard, lettuce, and turkey with sugar free jello, grapes and strawberries, and something else healthy idk yet

3-Snack something like fruit

between 6:30-8 Dinner: Most likely a big salad with fat free dressing.

Could i eat My butterfinger bunny or my eater eggs tomorrow as a cheat meal or should i wait till next weekend to eat them incase today was like a cheat meal? I know ur gonna be like dont eat them at all but it's easter once a year it comes around and u can only get it once a year. So im gonna eat it one weekend and i just wanna know if it would be okay to eat it tomorrow. I walked around ALL day today shopping. TOmorrow 8 a.m to 1 p.m i'll be going up and down steps and cleaning tanning beds
5-9 i will be washing dishes and carrying them big trays of them and busting tables. And i'll also be doing some situps, crunches, and all of that and im not gonna run because today and tomorrow are my day's off.

You know what - it is Easter - and you should just eat the candy. I'm Russian Orthodox so my Easter isn't until May 1, but I'm certainly looking forward to pigging-out on the Cadbury Eggs!!!
Have a fun weekend and really enjoy the good food!

multiply everything by 4:
200*4 = 800 calories

Don't worry about trying to burn off the foods you ate - it just doesn't work that way. Plus, it's not a good habit to get into and sometimes is a stepping stone for eating disorder's.

Everyone knows how much i worked today, and had the butterfinger bunny all the nutrional info is above if u wanna look at it but anyways..i had that today and now i just found out im going out to easter breakfast with my family and now im screwed and there is like no healthy breakfast things to get at Bobevans?? what should i do tell me what i should get?

Hey spockafina, question:

What in that ingredient list set off red flags for you? I'm fairly new to reading food labels extremely carefully, but most of the stuff in the ingredient list seemed to me at least to be reasonably healthy.

The only buzzword I see in there much is "hydrolized", but that's a process that refers to making something water soluble.

Or, for you does "processed" == "bad"? I'm not sure there's sufficient evidence to support this claim alone, if that's the case.

Hydrolized or Hydrogenated oils = trans fat
Enriched flour isn't the best.
Any thing with High Fructose Corn Syrup - this is concentrated sugar, avoid it like the plague if its in the top 5 ingredients

Those are three off the top of my head.

I don't know what Bobevans is, but there's a way to order any meal at a restaurant and still eat fairly clean. Hell I can go to Burger King and get 2 grilled chicken breasts (2 BK broilers, no mayo, ditch the buns).
