I HIT MY GOAL WEIGHT!!!! At 5'6" and 154 pounds, I am no longer obese or even overweight. I am healthy for my size!!!

And now, the piece de resistance: PICTURES!!!

First, me at about 230ish, March 2004:

To lose the weight, I started the program at Jenny Craig. You get your picture taken at the beginning, and then periodically as you lose the weight. For some reason I don't have the first picture, but I do have my halfway picture:

Me at 190.5 pounds.

Then I had my picture taken again a few months later:

Me at 170 pounds.

Then finally, my goal picture!!!

There was a hot-lookin' female underneath all that fat!!! Hubba hubba!!!

And finally, a picture of me and the new man, taken on Memorial Day:

Yay!!! I lost 70 pounds, and I couldn't be happier!!!

Congratulations
youve had such a transformation
really well done, obviously your dead chuffed.
inspiration to me you aree

What does dead chuffed mean?!?!?! hahaha, this is clearly slang from somewhere not the U.S. :willy_nilly:

I was confused about that as well... so a quick search on a British slang website gave me this:

chuffed Adj. Pleased, delighted. Compare with 'dischuffed' and 'chuffed to buggery'. E.g."I'm well chuffed at the result." [1950s]

So I'm guessing that 'dead chuffed' means 'extremely happy'!

I'm definitely going to have to work that into my vocabulary! I love it! Come to think of it, I'm going to use 'chuffed to buggary' as well!

Those are some amazing before and afters for sure. Your after looks great, and congrats on the new man. You two look like a cute couple. Great job, and all the hard work has definitely paid off :)

Your before and after photos are so incredible; it's like looking at two different people. And I don't know how to say this without offending you, so I'm going to just say it the way I'm thinking it and if it's offensive then I'm sorry, but in your first picture (it could be the shades) you look so much older, like mid 40s and then in your last pic you look like a teenager (16-18 years old). Lol. I have no idea what your real age is, but I'm really impressed.

Congrats!

I'm not offended -- I realize I looked like hell! That first picture was me at age 21; the last is me at age 25... and I'm way hotter now :hurray:

Yes, I'm still doing it, although now that I've hit my goal weight the program kicks into the "maintenance" mode, where I go for a few weeks and get weaned off the food and really see how this "eating in the real world" thing works. Although, I feel like I've learned a lot about healthy foods/portions/etc. through the program, and I've gone off of it before and been able to maintain/lose, so I'm not worried about quitting it :)

Also, for exercise, I've gradually upped the ante: I started out biking, then got to the point where I was doing 20 miles a day and then did a century ride (100 miles). Then after that when biking wasn't working as well anymore I decided to train for triathlons, and so I do a mix of running, biking and swimming now, which I feel like keeps me in pretty good shape/burning lots of calories :)

I would totally recommend the Jenny Craig program to anyone -- all it takes is a little stick-to-itiveness, and the food is actually pretty good! Also, the consultant person that you talk to when you go in there every week has been a godsend for me. She has been so supportive, and I feel like I can talk to her about anything, because ultimately it all links in to how I eat because my biggest problem was that I was an emotional eater.

(I have to say that with the caveat, though, that my sister has gone to a different Jenny Craig center than the one I go to, and her consultants were unsupportive, apparently, so I guess it just depends on where you go.)
