I was reading somewhere on this forum the other day that someone uses . I tried it out and ended up purchasing the program (only $20!)... you can use the free version online. it keeps track of calories with a pretty good food nutrition data base and even helps you work out what you need to do in order to reach your fitness goals.

anywho - i thought I'd share. I'm fairly sure that it was M2M that posted it - thanks for sharing :)

I LOVE fitday.com. It helps me keep track of exactly how many calories I eat each day, and how many I burn. I also like to update the journal every now and then just to see how things have changed since I started. And it's all free:):):)

Howdy and welcome to the forum and goodluck to ya.
Congrats to ya on losing 13 lbs so far. Tammy:)

Question about it for people more familar. I looked for just a regular treadmill under activities which is what I use. It only had a stair trendmill. Should i just use walking instead for it to calculate my calories burned?

The difference:

FitDay Desktop
FitDay PC is a faster, easier, smarter way to take control of your diet and lose weight. FitDay PC does everything the online version does and more.

Get FitDay PC

* Easier to Use
* Enter Foods Much Faster
* Use even when you're not online
* Advanced Weight Loss Goals and Tracking
* More Reports than Online Version

At least that's according to the link included at the top of the page.

If you are looking for something free then fitday is fine (for logging food only).

If you are willing to pay for a personal desktop program then Crosstrainer is something I highly recommend.

I have a copy of the PC version but dont use it as I update my stuff from both work and home. Being online means i can update it anywhere.
If only they would allow you to export your data from the app to the web interface :/
