.For my demons...

.I am 20 years old and I have been overweight all my life, currently I am 5'10" and 273 pounds. I used to go to the gym and do around 30 minutes of cardio followed by a routine of weight training, all it did was bulk me up and make me look even fatter.

.Everytime I have to go buy clothes it's a nightmare, either everything I seem to find is either too tight or too loose, it's maddening. I lead a pretty active lifestyle and one of excess as well, I go clubbing often on different subcultures (rave events & punk and hardcore shows) but with one thing in common, heavy consumption of alcohol and cigarretes.

.I am starting to feel the stress of my weight and it has started to affect me emotionally, I get angrier often and get too stressed all of the time. I want to do so much, I want to climb walls, be able to run without havint to stop too often to catch my breath, I want to wake up and feel rested and not tired, overall I want to be healthy both in body and mind. It will not be a tale of I against I anymore.

PD. If someone can help me make a cool tracker siggy like the ones I've seen around that would pretty much own.

PDD. Big ups to my people of Puerto Rico, you can count on me for anything!

Welcome!

This is the place to start man, so look around and read up. Knowledge is always important when it comes to losing weight. I recommend starting up a diary in the diary section of the forum where you can list what you have eaten for the day and how you are feeling. That way others can help if you are struggling. I guarantee if you stick with a healthy diet and try to at least cut back on alcohol, you can improve your health greatly. I used to be in the same boat as you man, i wieighed around 240 and i felt stressed and angry about my image everyday. At first i didn't think i could do it but then i started losing weight. Well now, a year later i am 90 pounds lighter and wake up feeling great. If you have any specific questions, don't be afraid to ask someone, everyone is here to help.

.thank you, thank you...I'll be making a journal of my journey to lose around half of my weight ( or whatever it's appropiate ) and I'll start with yesterdays entry and todays later on.

.Yeah thanks. I wanted to see if I could find a nice dark city background ruler with a chibi zombie as slider but there are none. maybe I'll do one, or just go generic. But yeah I'm gonna make a good diary with pics and all, maybe help some people whilst helping myself.
