Football Help.

Next year, I will be a freshman, I play as a MLB and I really wanna be a Defensive End. My question is, what workouts should I start to do for next year, and if i should be on a diet.
I am 150 lbs. 58 in. tall, i workout with power circuits, such as power cleans, snatches, squats, incline press, etc.
