Food and working out...

I think what my biggest problem is I dont really understand when when to eat what. I think you are supposed to eat protein after you work out. Also I also heard you should not eat fruit after 3p.m. is there any truth to that? I understand eating healthy and I am big time into that, but I just need help to the when..Thank you so much...
 
as long as your diet overall contains the right stuff ie protein/carbs/fats there shouldnt be a problem,make sure you fuel your workout ie either eat an hr or two before or take some form of protein/carb drink,also afterwards enjoy a good meal containing protein/carbs.
