Have you thought about the impact of what you put in your mouth and the real effect it has on your body and your weight loss journey? Every thing you put in your mouth sets off a chemical (hormone) response. Our bodies don't get "emotional" about what we eat, it just takes the food (data) and sets off a course of action to respond to it. Much like if we take a pain killer, that one little pill works to stop or reduce pain in the body in a very specific way. Food, does the exact same thing. When we eat high processed foods, the glucose surge that is created is a natural reaction and insulin is released to transport that glucose to cells, organs or to be stored as fat. Even when we consume "zero" calorie sweeteners, often times registering in our brains as tens or hundreds time sweeter than sugar, our bodies still respond chemically and typically, the food you are consuming gets stored as fat. Add to that most people tend to consume a high number of carbohydrates (even when severely calorie restricted), junk fats and very low protein. Often times, those carbs again come in junk form (refined). So yes a person will lose weight on a diet, but over time biology beats out marketing and the person stops losing, and will begin to gain back the weight they lost and than some.
If you really want to change your body via fat loss, improve your health and become more vibrant, it isn't that difficult. You have to feed your body, fire up your metabolism and put real nutrition on the table. Yes, it takes more effort to do so, it may cost more (actually, it just appears that way as folks will plop down 4 or 5 dollars for a diet frozen entree, and when you look at the actual serving size of it, lack of actual "food" in it, you will see that on the back side, it is far less expensive to eat real food. Even by changing and improving your health, you will save money on doctors, and that is a good thing. Remember this, doctors make tons of money treating disease and illness. A heart attack costs a person $40,000.00 or more dollars not to mention on going medications like Beta Blockers, high blood pressure medications, blood thinners, etc. It is far less expensive, your body feels better and your health actually improves when you choose to eat real food and change the lifestyle that put a person into a diseased state. Most disease is "lifestyle" induced. High Blood Pressure is a lifestyle disease for a majority of people. It is very typical to see folks eat 4,000 or more milligrams of salt a day and wonder why they have high blood pressure; their doctor prescribes a pill and the lifestyle basically stays the same. Easy huh? In reality, that same person could begin eating real food, reduce sodium intake and the body begins to lower blood pressure. Remember, bodies are meant to heal. Just look at when you get a cut. Your body works overtime to heal the skin, fight infection, etc. That same process happens when you treat your body right, your liver become healthy, blood pressure drops, so does cholesterol, diabetes, etc.
