I'm not exactly new to weight loss. My weight loss problems started after marriage and after the birth of my first son. I gained 60 lbs while preggo with him. Of course it wasn't his fault, but my "eating for two" mentality.
I lost some of that weight after the birth of my son, but then it came back on. And after awhile I had kept the 60 lbs plus added some more too it - like 15 more!
Then, I had my 2nd son, and was determined not to keep any of the preggo weight - I had gained only 20 lbs that time, but was still 75 lbs overweight. So carrying around my son was like carrying a load of very heavy bricks.
2 yrs after he was born I decided to get real about my weight loss and my journey started there.
I didn't lose it all at once, but have been doing so for over the last 8 yrs. So, I guess I've had a lot of denial going on because it shouldn't take so long. Well I had always been able to keep the weight off and then lose a few more pounds here and there.
Last year my life changed from working out 3 hrs a day to working out hardly 1 or 2 times a week. It was all for personal reasons and things had to change. I was really too focused on myself even to the point of being selfish.
I actually did weigh 144 (down from 210), but then after my life literally spun out of control, my weight crept back up. I am now at 174.5 as of this morning.
I followed my best friend in here - she showed me this site this afternoon. I need some encouragement and I know she will be there for me. In the past I had "friends" on weight loss forums and it helped tremendously. I know from reading the messages here, I will get the support I need.
Thanks for listening.
