Fluctuating Numbers

Ok, so I have been working out for years - mostly weight lifiting, but after high school I started gaining in some weight, so I continued my work out routines and I saw only little changes in my body.

Now I am 22 years old, and doing more cardio work to burn fat because at 5'2" I weighed at 136lbs. - but I began to grow a larger belly so I knew right then I needed to push myself to sweat and tears... and I have been doing so.

Now I fit in some walking, jogging, jumping rope and bicycling - this is the only week however where I have seen some dramatic changes. Now I am a father of a 15 month old, and most of you parents in here can concur that they are quite a handful! I also work nights and my wife works different shifts during the day - so the only time I can really work out is at nights - late at nights.

My workouts begin around 10:30pm - 11:30pm, I start with about 5 minutes of stretching followed with either of the cardio workouts mentioned above for about 20 minutes with only 60 seconds of rest and water every 5 minutes within that periond of time. I sweat very fast, and I just keep going and push myself for just one more extra minute when possible.

This week I've weighed myself in the mornings, because I work out evenings I have read somewhere that all the water drank during that workout period will add up to the scale as well. So I weigh myself the morning after... and I see fluctuating numbers with my chart, is this normal and is there a reason why the numbers go up at night before my workout, but then jump down in the morning when I weigh myself again? Could it be because of all the food I've been eating throughout the day or could it just be water? And lastly, at which time of weighing myself is it the correct weight?

Here are my one week's findings:
Day 1: 136 lbs.
Day 2: 136 lbs.
Day 3: 132 lbs.
Day 4: 134 lbs.
Day 5: 129 lbs. (TODAY)

Before the body even ATTEMPTS to take from your fat stores, it will first use up glycogen (sugar). Sometimes it is better to do Cardio on an empty stomach (preferably in the morning) after your night fast. Your losses are predominntly water, Revxus. I checked out the site, but it doesn't seem like it has anything to do with working out and exercise? Hmm... maybe I'm missing something...

Anyway, I got this bottle of Hydroxicut now, I've been checking out their ads all over magazines and on TV and I just hope this works well with my workout routine.

I'm trying to get cut, toned and lose my belly fat - all 3 I didn't have last year but then again, I became a father and became sleep-deprived and almost never worked out.

Now the only time I have left to workout is at nights between 11:30PM and 1:30AM, because my wife works during the day, my son wakes up like at 6AM and he only takes an hour or two nap in the middle of the day, but it's not all the time. If you have an infant or toddler, then you can relate. =)

Anyway, like I said... I only have time very late at night because I get off work at 9PM, don't get home until about 9:45PM and then I have dinner, let it settle for at least a half hour and then work out.
