FitDay says lose .5 lb per week...

I need help trying to find out how many calories I need per day to get to my goal of 118 lbs. Currently I am 121.5

stats

22 yrs old
5'3"
121.5 lbs.
BF 17.5%
activity level is I guess moderately active since I am in a desk all day but on the weekends I do ALOT of physical activity....also currently I am having average of about 1700-1800 calories a day and feel hungry like all the time...any help would be nice thanks!

If your hungry, eat more. You're activity level is pretty high with gym and biking. Try 2000 and see what happens.

Well, thanks busyman, i think that number is abit scary...but I guess it is worth a try ..

although... just to let you know though, i did try it already and stopped doing that a week ago and thats how i lost these 3 pounds .

So I'm afraid if I up my calories it will make me gain it back which i don't wanna do.

IS THERE ANY WAY TO TRAIN YOUR BODY TO GET USED TO EATING LESS CALORIES ? that way i can keep losing or at least stay at 121 ?

Screw what fit day told you to eat. If I ate what fitday told me to I would have starved to death long ago.
If your ody is telling you that it needs food it's a good idea to listen. Sometimes it's hard to tell if the body is really singnalling us that it needs food or if we feel like eating due to boredom or stress. Listen carefully to your body.
As for training your body to eat less--why would you want to do that if you can lose fat while eating more? You could undereat and ruin your metabolism and then eat less. Better to feed your body the nutritious fuel that it needs.
If you're eating 1700-1800 right now I wouldn't quite jump right up to 2000...but add a few good quality food calories in and see if you start to feel less hungry.

I hope that was helpful. Let me know if I can help more.

The amount of calories look okay to me since you are trying to lose weight. BUT you are already small. I'd rather see you eat more and get on a muscle gaining program. By building muscle (through strength training and a caloric surplus) you will be able to lose the last remaining few pounds.

Also a quick note that 1800 calories is only as good as the foods that make up the 1800 calories.
