Hi, about a year ago i was introduced to a show on Nuovo TV called Operation:Osmin . It's a reality exercise show in which the trainer takes 30 days to transform the bodies of overweight people. One of the staples of the show is a diet of Only Fish, Salad and Water. February of 2012 I did the diet ( along with cardio and weight training) and I lost 22 pounds on 30 days. I had so much energy after the third day. If anyone is struggling, it's something to look into. Sadly the Operaton: Osmin show was cancelled but the old episodes can be found online.

Although both fish and salad are considered healthy foods, you are not getting all the nutrients your body needs. If this plan included more vegetables, fruit, and lean poultry along with the exercise, it would be a healthy weight loss plan.

You'd lose even more weight if you only drank water and ate nothing. The question isn't if that diet is effective for weight loss, the question is whether it's healthy and can lead to a permanent lifestyle change. Everybody can lose weight on a one sided diet with severe calorie restrictions.

I was told by my doctor a few years ago that my liver was releasing enzymes and it was probably weight related. This is the diet that worked for me with the fastest results and least hunger. I did excercise with cardio and weight training. My energy jumped up and i never felt better. I have modified it after the first 30 days to included poultry and fruit. But I have tried to keep away from soda and fried food. I allowed myself bread every few days. My enzyme levels returned to normal after the initial 30 days.

It sounds a lot better now that you say you have modified it to include other things, and it depends a lot of whether you salad is made with iceburg lettuce or other veggies that provide more necessary nutrients.
