First Weigh In

Hello to all! I just thought I'd mention that today is my birthday and the first weigh in since beginning my program on 12/7. I don't like the scale and will not use it exclusively. I don't believe in frequent weigh ins because the scale is simply one measure of success and tends to fluctuate and hamper my progress. I have lost 10 pounds since beginning and contribute success to calorie counting, daily logging and weekly calorie averaging. I have decided to keep my daily total at approximately 1950; but allowing 2500 as a maximum. I have managed to average about 1800. I will have to begin exercising more frequently and limiting fat content to 30-35%. Those are my goals between now and next weigh in (3/17/09). I will only use the scale every other month because as long as I stick to the program, it will register a loss!
