first week expectations?

So I'm on day #4 of my diet and I've been really well behaved... going to the gym, eating well and what not. Sunday is my weigh in day and I'm excited and nervous all at the same time...

what is a reasonable expectation for the first week? going from a relatively inactive, unhealthy eating lifestyle to an active, low calorie diet lifestyle?

Just looking for some input, in case i step on the scale on sunday morning and don't see the difference i was expecting.

thanks!

2-3 lbs is a reasonable expectation. But don't be shocked if 5-6 just fell off. It really just all depends on where you started and how much lifestyle change you actually made.

I agree with FA..but don't forget, slow and steady wins the race. Don't get your hopes too high for a big loss and fall off the wagon if you dont' see it!

1-2 pounds is the recommended healthy amount to loss each week...some people lose more the first week, some are right in the 1-2 pound range. Either way...anything lost is a good thing right! :)

You should think about taking your measurements as well!
I know for myself. I don't lose alot of weight when I step on the scale, but my measurements are showing that I am shrinking all over :)

Be sure to not get confused with sustainable fat loss and initial water loss. Your body is roughly 80 percent water and water loss is what most "dieters" experience in the first few stages. Encouraging but not important.
