First Timer

Hello,

My name is Jeff and I am a 33 y/o male from Indianapolis, Indiana.

I have joined this group to look for support and advice on healthy eating and excercise. As a child I was very athletic and fit, never had any problems with my weight. During high school and beyond, I have begun to struggle with my weight and really need to get back into a routine of excercise and healthy eating.

My motivations are my 2.5 year old son (want to be able to keep up with him), looking better then I ever have for my wife, and helping Indiana their rank on one of the fattest states in the USA.

I am sure I will be a newbie and ask some dumb questions, but I look forward to the insight of all the posters in this community.

Talk to you all soon
Jeff

Basically I need a lot of help with nutrition. I am a horrible eater and was raised in a family where you "always cleaned your plate." When I was athletic, that was fine, but now that I sit around a lot, it just puts the lbs on. I know the basics of working out, which for my goals is probably fine (but once I acheive my goals, may need some "expert" advice on working out).

I am finding the motivation, but need the eating habits and quality have to go up.
