Hi, I'm Andrew and just joined this forums and have a couple questions. I'm 22 years old, 5'11ft, 200pounds and I'm looking for a way to get to 165 lean and cut in around 3-4months. I am too self conscious to work out in the gym because for other reasons so I was looking into something like p90x or insanity but can't pick between those too. I want to lose weight but also build upperbody muscle so I was woundering which home workout would be better for me? P90x or insanity?

Also, I was woundering which weight loss pill is most effective that doesn't cause your hair to shed?

If someone can help me answer these questions I will truly be greatful!!! :hat:

Hi welcome

Can't comment on the exercise. Haven't tried them but am personally looking into insanity

Weight loss pill - don't bother with any. :) diet and exercise is all you need

Good luck

Welcome to the forum.

I have to agree with Angel - don't bother with any weight loss pills - you really don't need them - just eat healthily at an appropriate calorie level and exercise and you can lose those 35 pounds.

I have heard great things about both insanity and p90x. We have had people come to the forum who have said that both these exercise programs help them a lot.

Have you seen these threads:
http://weight-loss.fitness.com/threads/59143-Insanity
http://weight-loss.fitness.com/threads/57751-INSAN(E)ity-Work-Out-plus-Gym-plus-Dedication

I would check out the people posting in both these threads and see if they are still here... You could visit their diaries and see what they said and maybe (if they are still around) chat to them asking any questions that you may have...

I should add that gyms are full of people in a lot worse shape than yourself - and a gym is an excellent place to go if you want to really get cut - because there are professional trainers there who can give individual help tailored to your body and situation. I would encourage you to check out a few gyms and see if they are less daunting than the image you have of them.

I suggest that you read the following thread - it may help you settle in and make friends here

Good luck with your project.
