First real progress photo

I'm keeping it PC since I work in a lab, so all fully clothes prgress photos- hahaha

Anyway, I just took the one on the right this morning and pasted it to a photo taken on 6.19.08, in the same outfit and same pose. What do you think? I promise to make them bigger and higher quality as I go along, but the photo editor on my computer at work isn't exaclty high tech... I'll do more at home with my fancy photoshop program later :) The stats today- 25 pounds lost and over 20 inches lost from various places (hips, butt, thighs, etc) woohoo!!!

For a larger version of the pics, go to my profile and I have it in an album there... people realy should post their progress pics in ther profile albums too.. it's so much easier to find them that way.

thank you! Yeah- the face is what's most shocking to me... but it's also what made me do this.. for months I had been dreading photos of me and would try to hold my head at certain anges to avoid that double chin... but this pic shows it in all its glory!!! Thank God it's almost gone! That original pic was actually the catalyst for me.. I was already researching ways to successfully diet when I took that pic, but seeing how I looked in it made me cringe.. and by Monday, I was on my diet plan full steam ahead! I'll continue taking progress photos with this outfit until it's too big to wear because for now it's a great comparison of just how huge I was.. and how far I still have to go.. funny thing is, I'm just noticing in the pic that even my breasts appear smaller now..I definitely haven't noticed them being smaller.. maybe it's all the back fat that's been going away that's attributing to the smaller bust appearance because my cup size hasn't changed (not that I'd mind if they do shrink a bit!). Anyway, thanks again for the comment! :)

If I might offer a suggestion... Keep that one outfit.. and start to divest or have tailored the rest of your clothes.. While we don't always want a reminder of where we were... It's kind of helpful on those days where you think you're standing still - to look back at how far you've come -and that one article of clothing can usually do it..

PLus most people feel better about themselves when their clothes fit -b ecause they look better.. don't wait to replace the entire wardrobe until you get to size xx... show off your hard work :D

that's such a great idea.. I think I will keep this outfit as a reminder of how to never be again!!!! And on the new clothes thing.. luckily I live in New England and soon enough it will be nice and chilly- I've got enough sweaters and long sleeve shirts that were previously "form-fitting" to get me through winter and my mom was awesome enough to get me some jeans a few sizes smaller than what I wear now to have for winter... I'm looking forward to a fantastic spring shopping spree and a very rewarding spring cleaning of my closet... hey, maybe I'll have this outfit framed like a football jersey...... hehehehehe... it's such a good feeling to see all those hours at the gym paying off!

Thanks for the advice on the profile photos. I'll have to check that out when I have time.

As for you, kudos!!! I can see it in that shot from your face and around your waist. That shirt is far less fitted then it was in the first shot!

25 lbs and 20 inches is a tremendous achievement! :hurray: Awesome job!

Absolutely and I accomplish doing that myself by going to thrift stores and such. You can find some great smaller(in style) pants and shirts and it allows you to start replacing with more fitted stuff. Great idea on tailoring things down. There are a few things I would hate to get rid of because I really like them. Altering them is a great alternative and probably would cost close to what a new(and unknown) pair would be anyway!

Thrift stores you have to check your ego at the door when you walk in... and NOT obsess over the size... a lot of stuff in thrift stores can be a little older -which means it's not going to be cut as full as the current sizes are... So while in current clothes, you might be size X... and expect to go down a size, in older clothes you might actually go up a size or two... (so moral of the story -use the mirror as your guide not the label.. :D

Oh not in the thrift stores here. I've never seen anything like it, but Ohio thrifts have some amazing newer stuff. My mother and I joke about the rate women discard their clothing up here. Ok with me since it means I can dress nicely for a lot less. I wear a lot of AEO and Old Navy and can find all kinds of that stuff there. Love it! I used to think there was only old stuff too because I remember how they were in Florida, but then I kept seeing my mother bring some incredible stuff home! I'm sold, so to speak!

Good girl. :)

hahaha- sorry to disappoint.. but I doubt my prestigious company would appreciate a partially naked employee prancing around the labs and posting pics on the internet! Just for you, as I slim down more- and for NolaRob too- he's a character... I promise to take more scantily clad photos of my progress.. but only when I feel confident enough to look good doing it.. until then, enjoy the PG-13 version :)

All I said was, "good girl". It's like I'm the avatar of perversion and my presence alone is enough to defile these innocents. An AOE aura, so to speak. Range is hyooooge.

Sorry.. I should have warned you that I've already read some of your posts on other threads and know you're an advocate of perversion... hahahahaha

Old isn't necessarily crap - think vintage.. there's a thrift store near me that sells chanel suits and other really beautiful pieces...

I can see a diff in your face and body.

Seems that your outfit in the after pic is a little looser specially around the abdominal area and of course your face has slimmed down a lot.

Very proud of you :)

Thank you so much... just recently I tsarted noticing how much thinner my stmach area feels.. I can wear my shirts without sucking it in now :)

Taking that pic this morning and comparing the difference has given a whole new boost of confidence and motivation... yay!

:Angel_anim: huh? what did I do? :Angel_anim: I'm innocent, really! :newangel: (that's quite a sentance to have my name associated with! yikes!)

The thing that jumps out at me is your neck! Great job, keelynn! Keep up the great work!

NolaRob- you didn't get to see the original post- FOCUS edited it... it originally had a quote from you about being naughty and someone trying to look at dirty photos of you...it was pretty funny.... i think it had sometihng to do with that "baby got back" thread. Yeah, the neck thing is pretty shocking.. that is such a HORRIBLE picture of me, but at the same time it's good for me to see just how bad I can look at that weight (NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!).... anyhoo- I just uploaded another one to my profile for you guys (it's not letting me add it as an attachment to this thread).. the one on the right is standing slightly closer to the camera, so the depth is not equal for the two, but other than that, I can pretty clearly see improvement in my stomach, width of my face, my arms slimming, even my chest- my boobs look like I had a lift without the dreaded surgery.. and that shirt is getting pretty baggy now too- i took the one on the left about 20 minutes ago, the one on the right on 7.22.08, just a few weeks ago (this one has also been added to my profile so you can see a bigger version). These progress photos are definitely putting me in a good mood.. I'm excited for a couple more months from now when I can compare even more! who knew dieting could be so much fun? hehehehehehe
