Hello everyone! This is the official start of my weight loss journey!

I've already gotten a head start by going to the gym for the past few weeks. Now it's time to kick it up a notch and lose some weight!

How much weight do you want to lose?
--10lbs (at least)

What is the time frame for reaching your target weight?
--5 weeks

How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?
--go to the gym Monday-Fridays, do in home exercises on weekends, update this journal as often as possible, watch what i eat (very closely).

Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?
--my mom and sister are keeping me in the gym on a daily basis, i think that this forum would help, because I will be able to hear about other people's journey, as well as gain support from everyone!

How realistic is your goal?
--it is realistic! i want to lose 20 lbs, but i'll stick with 10 for now.

When will you start?
--asap! right now!...well after i finish my dinner. i'll go with tomorrow morning...

i'm excited for this journey! hopefully i'll start losing weight soon!!

Today I was pretty good:

Breakfast: cereal w/ milk and orange juice
Snack: Special K bar
Lunch: Turkey on 2 slices of wheat

until....

Snack: 100 calorie pack of chips ahoy
banana

Dinner: WENDY'S CHICKEN SANDWICH!! :( i know.... :(

I worked out today though! 20 mins on a treadmill and a 45 minute class!

I am taking the stairs all the time at work. I almost always take the stairs going down, but going up...in the mornings... (10 flights of stairs!) it's hard, but I guess it's going to makeup for some of the snacks that I have!

tomorrow i'll be better with snacks and dinner! i hope!! i have a doctor's appointment, so hopefully i will have lost a pound! (i wish...) i haven't weighed myself in a while, and i've been working out.
 
So I went to the doctors a few days ago and...

i've lost 1 lb! He said I was 128, but i figure he factored in clothing, so i'm marking it down as 130. woooo!!

i worked out for 45-50 minutes today (i usually only work out mon-fri but i didn't work out thurs or friday!!) but it was a good workout, 35 mins of aerobics and 10-15 minutes of weight/strength training.

i'm trying to eat healthier, but the midday munchies keep getting to me! it's like clockwork, once 3:00 hits, i start craving snacks....ie. those 100 calorie pack of chips ahoy. ah oh well.

i've also not been able to have breakfast for the past few days (i've been waking up and rushing because i have to get to work) tsk tsk. i'm gonna make sure i have something for breakfast everyday. recently it's been coffee at 9am :/.

i also need to get back to writing down my what i eat every day. it's been helping me manage what i eat. i usually just write down how many calories i intend on eating in a day and subtract everything that i eat during the day.

so far i'm around 1000...

i'm going to have to try and eat salads more. i'm going to start with dinner tonight. hopefully it will be satisfying.
 
oh no.

SOOO I haven't been to they gym all week. I worked out at home on Monday, but I haven't done anything else since...and I have been eating pizza, fries, and ribs. ahhhh!! what a slump!

i hope that the slump is over! i know i can't work out tomorrow, so i'll have to make sure i eat better!

eeshh. i think i've gained 1 lb back. ugh. :cuss:
