First Post on this forum, Need expert Critique on dieting

I have a pretty good frame on me. I'm probably at about 9% bf right now, 173lbs 5'7 and 20 years old. My abs still don't show, I'm pretty sure I have to be below 6% bf for the abs to be coming in. I NEED THOSE ABS before I go to mexico on april 16th. For the next few months I have incorperated a few supplements into my diet. I find myself daily taking 6 CLA tabs, 6 fish oil tabs, 3 glucosamine sulphate and 1 multivitamin spread out between 5-6 meals. Starting tomorrow I am also incorperating Animal Stak into my diet plan, for those who don't know it is an anabolic supplement. Taking into consideration that it is not the best thing for my liver, I am cutting out drinking for the next couple months and Marijuana. I'm doing 5 days a week of morning empty stomach cardio and weight training 5 days a week. My diet I'm eating 5-6 meals daily, keeping my protein intake at 150g plus daily, and the only fat im getting is from the tabs of CLA and fishoil im taking unless I am to eat eggs or meat.. No junk. Keeping my carbs about in check with my protein. This is very important to me that I am fully cut for mexico and I have never been shredded before. Hints? Tips? Please I need em! First of all, consider why are you doing what your doing? Is it just because you want to "look good" while just in Mexico? Are you going to resort to old habits when you get back?

If your serious about doing this for life, and are serious enough to give up (at least limit) the drinking and the smoking, then your on the right track. If not, I'm afraid your wasting your time.

Regardless, check www.bodybuilding.com or www.abcbodybuilding.com and look at some "cutting diets".
 
what im trying to do is set a very realistic goal. I've given myself 2 months to do what I've wanted to do for a long time but have not had the motivation, which is what this trip is. I'm already in good shape, and I'm pretty happy with my shape but I feel somewhat plateau'd at the moment. Eating habits have gone great for the past couple days and I feel great keeping on that track, I can't see myself falling off any time soon. Thanks for the links btw
 
How long have you been on your plateau? Plateaus can last for a few weeks, its frustrating, but you can break through it. Keep your spirits and motivation up, change your routine around a bit. (eat a bit more, eat a bit less, slightly more cardio, change the type of cardio, do more sets on weight training, up the weight a little bit) Any type of change to your routine will help you bust through the plateau.

Ain't that the truth, Super bowl sunday messed my plan up bad hehe, I gained a pound back. I couldn't lay off of the hot wings. I started back up monday though, and took half of that pound back off. The wings were good, but I hated giving that pound back :(
 
Well its been about 5 days so far and so far so good. Whoda thought that those abs would already start comin in eh? damn, with 2 months of this dieting im gonna be a machine. Friday night tonite tho, thats the kicker. I have to be strong and not kill myself partying. Eating should be fine but I do enjoy a drink and ima have to say no to that

Definitely - 1 gram of alcohol provides 7 calories, 1 gram of fat provides 9 calories, whereas 1 gram of protein and carbs provide only 4 calories each.
