First karate lesson

Last night I went for my first karate lesson with Go-Kan-Ryu Karate-do.

I had been wanting to learn a martial art for a while now to increase my flexibilty, strength, confidence, balance and co-ordination. and last week they came knocking on my door advertising the school, so I took it as a sign and signed up.

My first lesson was good fun, not to demanding but still got a sweat going and I'm sure I'll keep going as long as I can, will keep you all updated as to how I get on.

Cool, nice one.

I got my Yellow belt at the weekend, its quite a good feeling. I'm really getting quite addicted to it now, I may have to start going twice a week.

MY twin , trained under a really serious chinese kung fu ,practioner. He made all his students train a year before they could go for their 1st grade/sash.
He was an ex mercenary & also did some fight choreagraphy in a few martial art movies. He ran it like the military/my twin was the designated sergeant/hitter, for his new club. There was a tournament (full contact)/ he took his handfull of students along & shook the place & the clubs in it to the ground. He was unknown, but never foregotten.:D HE just wanted to make himself & club known to the local clubs , then went back to training. Last he had to do with the other clubs. Wasn't interested in ego's & politics/ just made a simple statement.;)
