firefighter workout?

k so i want to become a firefighter. i'm 18, 6'1, 170lbs... fairly skinny so i'm working on my diet which has been going good, i think, for the past couple of weeks, around 3000 calories (decent foods...no fast food) with around 200g of protein with shakes and such. so i am satisfied with my diet. the part i need help with is the workout. i need a more structured program. i usually just go in there and wing it. this is how i basically want it to be...monday - lower...tuesday - upper...wednesday - cardio...thursday - upper...friday - lower

(for the cardio i'm doing stadiums/tours so that's another lower body workout)

i could use help on choosing the different exercises and which would be best for an hour workout each day.

so if i could get suggestions that would be great

try something like this:
1 - squat variations...alternate with lower back and ham exercises
2 - rows and benches...alternate exercise variations for about 12 - 16 total sets per workout with 1min rest between each exercise
3 - deadlift variations...alternate with lower back and ham exercises
3 - Pull ups and Shoulder Presses...same as day 2 but with different exercises

usually i go for full body type workouts but this works well as well...if you desperately need to do arms do bi's on days 2 and tri's day 4...abs when time permits most...find a good exercise guide (shapefit.com has a good one) and find wat u can do the best...keep reps in 6 - 10 range...as you get closer to actually being a fire fighter u will need strength endurance over mass...too much mass may limit agility which i wood want ova everything else if a fire was after me...we can organise another program than

If you want to be a firefighter, you gotta be STRONG. I would do some sort of HIITS training 3 days a week to get your body using oxygen more efficiently, and I would be super-setting a lot too to get your body used to be stressed. I would up your caloric intake a little bit more too...to keep your energy levels up while you are training.

I found this thread in my search and I was hoping for a some more insight - I am a volunteer Firefighter/EMT and have been for 4 years. I love it. But I'm small - 5' 2" and 121 lbs - so compared to the other guys at the department I am a runt. I want to build more muscle and endurance without using supplements - just so that I can keep up with the best of them at the firehouse - I currently do cardio for approximately 20 minutes 3-5x per week and some punching bag exercises here and there, as well as lifting on our weight machine - Any advice?
