Firefighter looking to burn fat and gain muscle

Hey guys. I found this forum and thought i would ask for help. Im 25 years old, weigh 230 and i am 6'2. I am not worried about losing weight, but i am wanting to lose fat and gain muscle. I have started taking creatine daily and recently started taking muscle milk light 2 to 3 times a day. (muscle milk regular just had too many calories for me). I have started dieting, watching what i eat and not eating the bad stuff (i am a sugar addict) so this is hard but i feel i am doing really well. I am trying to workout 3 to 4 times a week with cardio as many times a week also. Most of the fat in my body is in the stomach region, some chest and my buttock. I am hoping i can get some guidance on the routine to take my supplements, what to take if im taking the wrong stuff, and whatever else im forgetting. Thanks for all your help in advance.

Hi GMcDougal, the way I would see to build muscle and burn fat, you would need to

<> Lift Weights. For a beginner FBW 3X a week is a good start. Look in the weights section where I posted a fatman pullup and also a fatman workout routine.
<> Incorprate Cardio after weights or on a separate day.
<> Create a deficit of calories. Say your BMR is 3500, you eat at 20% less so that your body utilizes its existing fat.

I'm sure the others can chime in but read the stickies in the weight loss section, the weights section as well as the nutrition section.

My best,
vaecicla
