Finding my Zone again. Big Sean's Diary

Cna anyone help me find my zone. I remember when I was so in sync with myself everytime I had a bad meal I felt the difference. Even if the difference was small. I learned what food did to me and how it made me feel. I also remember how it felt to reach your goals and move on.

I am starting this diary to help get back to that point in life. After seeing another plane crash into a building in my home town I pray for the ones who suffer and am more thankful that I am here and have the ability to change my life.

Anyway enough of the drama. I am ready to go. Who is with me?

Welcome Sean! It's great that you've decided to get things back in order with your life. Have you started a plan yet?

Good Luck!! :D:D

I have my fitness planned out. I recently started doind the bike in the morning for 30 min to help get my day going. So Besides that I am going to the gym (that i have been paying for and not going to). Going to start slow and gradually get back into it. It has been a while since I have lifted on a steady basis. As well as challenge myself with some good cardio.

I am still learning about nutrition. Saw some good postings here as well as other places on the net. While I devise a plan I am going to cut down my sugar intake, drink lots more water, Stop eating much earlier. I am aslo going to make better choices too.

Going to check out this forum and get more ideas

Hi there!! Looks like we're in the same boat, just starting out, learning, and trying to stick with it!!

You mentioned a few points that I seen on a video clip of a fitness trainer on YouTube. I'm not saying that you have to listen to him or whatever, but I thought you might find him interesting...

You should watch more of his videos, they are inspiring and realistic. Very helpful.

Good luck!!!!

Goals

My first one month goal is to lose 16lbs. I know the number may seem high but for me the first 30 - 40 lbs isnt hard to get to. It is the last 80lbs that is hard

Here are my smaller goals for the month
1. morning bike 4-5 times a week ( 30 min/day 1st week, 35 min/day 2nd week etc etc)

2. Go to the gym at least 3 times a week. concentrating on cardio and light weight training

3. drink daily amount of water

4. Change coffee to decaf and splenda instead of sugar ( eventually changing to green tea which I do like. but coffee is my downfall)

5. last meal no later than 7pm. I go to sleep between 10 and 11.

When I reach this goal I think I am going to treat myself to something. Not food related. But I will treat myself to something for achieving my goal

Great goal list! And great treating yourself to something not food related - I tend reward with food. I'd love to break that bad habit before I have kids just so I don't give them weight issues too.

The cut off time really works! or at least it did for me - nothing after 8pm. Cut out most of my snacking. I didn't realize that I ate so much at night!!

You are right Pequin. I figure these are good goals. Not too much but I do have to stay on track to reach them. I am also excited about the oldies vs newbie challenge. I can't wait.

Yeah but we'll just kick your butts! :D:D:D lol.. jk. I'm looking forward to it too.. my very first challenge on here

today was a looooong day. I got some kind of bug and was in bed alll day. I barely ate anything ( couldnt hold anything down. I will spare the graphic details)

But I feel better now. My stomach feels settled. I am going to get some rest and start fresh and early tomorrow.

awww! poor sean! It's been going around, Trucker called it a toxic ladybug.. you eat one too?;) lol Glad you're feeling better though.

I guess you'd have to call it a good day calorie wise!
