This is my first day blogging....I've been trying to find a place to vent and express myself....I love being able to come some place where somebody understands me and they don't just write me off as a loss because I'm obese, over weight, or a little chunky!...Thanks sooo much everybody for your support. If you have any tips, suggestions, or advice to give, welcome!...I'm going to tell more of my friends about this site.... Here are a few questions that the thread recommended answering...

What is your current height and weight? 5'9.

If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be? 175.

At what weight would you like to be at four months from now? 190.

Why do you want to lose weight? For my health, to look better and feel better about my self.

Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event? I want to be my ideal weight by November 2009- Cruise time!

What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals? Emotional eating, boredom, feel that my shedule is busier with school...

Why do you think that you now have a weight problem? Emotional reasons, trying to find happiness and release of tension by eating...these might be some reasons, I'm not sure of all the reasons....and I need to do more physically...

What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight? Change of eating habits and fitness routine... more discipline...and consistancy

Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?Lost weight while working with personal trainer and while doing weight watcher....I love WW!

Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back? Not consistant

What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work? Just being around people who are not health conscious or motivated to get moving

Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time? Sure

Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook? No,not often...I would probably save money if I did cook at home

How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go? maybe 3 times a week...school cafe, taco bell, just depends..

What are your three favorite foods? butter nut chewies, spaghetti, turkey burgers

What are your three favorite restaurants? just depends, what evers good

What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food? eat less, make better choices, cook something at home

If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different? my breast, stomach, arms, butt, and thighs would be smaller and more toned

Do you eat when you are not hungry? yes

Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)? not usually, on occasion

Do you hide your food or eat in secret? sometimes

Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed? yep

Do you eat as a reward? sometimes

Do you eat while watching TV or using the computer? yes

What do you normally eat for a meal? what ever's available

What type of snacks do you eat? what ever's available

In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing? I have two fitness classes twice weekly and I walk maybe once a week in addition to the classes

Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home? School and home on occasion

What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise? walking, water aeorobics, bat mitton, weight training, elliptical trainer...soryy i know its more than three ;O)

What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals? Just to keep going even if I happen to mess up at times

Do you have rewards for certain goals? massages, pedicures, manicures, looking better in my clothes, more confidence....

Today was kinda stressful...I have assignments to finish up for school and for some reason I just keep putting them off... I seem to have lost my focus and enthusiam...and on top of all the stress with school... I'm dealing with a long distance relationship that is steadily declining.... my boyfriend and i are both students but he does have more work at this time to complete but I feel like he's not putting any effort into calling me and i feel like he's the man, he should pursue me...I'm trying to be patient and not be unrealistic but the relationship is starting to drain me....I didnt do any physical activity today and I ate too much....today I had:

1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 meal replacement drink
1 roast beef sadwich w/ lettuce/ peppered bacon and mayo
1 med curly cheddar fry
1 med cup water
1 bowl of spaghetti
2 cups of water
butter toffee sunflower seed kernels

and now as i look back over the day, i feel unproductive....
 
A new day....

Today was better than yesterday....I was able to complete some assignments for school, I went to weight training and wellness class this morning I walked about a mile and a half....I feel better about things today, much better...
Today I ate:

1 cup of oatmeal
1 bowl of chicken and noodles
1 bottle of water
2 mashed sweet potatoes with sugar, cinnamon, and a little butter
more water
as of now i'm still pretty content and working on getting assignments finished......


and sorry for being a party pooper yesterday but i just needed to vent a little...

I goto school while working full time. I put EVERYTHING off till the last minute. I have a 4.0 GPA and will keep it probably this year, but I may have screwed it up with that mindset. Does not suit well with trying to get other things in order cause of hte added stress.

So I feel ya.

Good luck, welcome, and I'm sure you'll be shocking the older cruise vacationers with your hottness when you go!

Well...I got my day started preety well... I made an 86 on my presentation this morning, glad that's over!....I also did pretty good with eating the first part of the day but then by lunch time, I lost it!....now I feel too full:puke:...I'll just sigh and wait for the sun to come up, tomorrow's a new day:toetap05: then I can start fresh :O)

Today was a good day....went to weight training this morning, played badminton, walked for about 45 minutes...this evening I walked for about thirty minutes....and I didn't eat all day....today was a good day!....:biggrinjester:

Hey hon', thanks for dropping by my page!

You need to eat at least a little something during the day. Calories = energy! :hurray:
 
well it's been about a month since I wrote on my blog...things are not going as I have expected...since I've been out of school, it's been a challenge to work out...I havent totally stopped my activity but I've slacked off quite a bit...and I've messed up too many times to count with my eating habits....I just can't seem to shake this slump and get back to business...getting frustrated, tired, and losing motivation....suggestions?:grouphug:please!and thanks!
 
just another day...

Today is just another day... have'nt done much today. I will be glad when class starts back on the 7th of Jan then I can get back in the gym on campus...i've enjoyed my break but it was kinda long...time to get back in the swing of things...i hope whoever reads this is having success at reaching your goal...have a good day.
