Finally... Pictures of Me!!

Ok... I was really nervous to do this, and I hope I am not jumping the gun here! I have lost 20 pounds, and I am really hoping that you all can tell a slight difference!

Here is me at Christmas:

not yet, wishes. i do intend on it, though! i really want to see if there's an obvious difference there, too.

I am really frustrated right now.

I have two roommates.

One of them said she could "slightly tell" and that I shouldn't have put my pictures on the internet.

The other one laughed at my after pictures, saying that they "look funny", and that I should have put the bottom after picture before the other one, because it is the better picture.

How hard would it have been for them to say, "great job!" and just leave it at that? I know I am doing this for me and not them, but it is still frustrating!
 
roommates are going to have a tougher time telling the difference because they see you every day...

I'm with ya on why people say the things they do to other people - i just ranted about that in my diary... some people are just mean.. poopy heads.

There's is a difference in your face and I love your dimples :) what a beautiful smile you have on your very beautiful face...

Ignore those pesky roommates...

i knew it would be harder for them to tell, but they also know and see just how hard that i have been working. i just don't understand why it would have been so hard to just to say something encouraging and leave it at that. don't laugh at me and tell me my pictures "look funny". i don't think they do.

like i said, this is for me, not them. i realize that, but i can't say it didn't hurt my feelings a bit.

thank you for the positive encouragement, and the compliments on my face and smile! you all really help me do this!

screw the roomates, they are just jealous. I can definately tell a difference. But it would help if you could get more perspective on the current pics(they are close up). keep up the good work.
 
ignore your room mates, especially the 2nd one. that one's oppinion should be totally irrelevant to you, they sound like they have vent up anger issues towards you lol, forget him/her

im not BS'ing, there really IS a noticable slimming down in the face area, but im sure we'll see more of a difference if u post full body pics later on

20 lbs is ALOT of weight, u should be proud of urself!

Congrats on the weightloss.. I can definitely tell a difference.. your face is slimmer -

As for your roomies, they almost sound like my sister.. I told her that I've lost weight and she says, "SO?!".. hah - I just started laughing and looked on the brighter side.. I'm doing something that she isn't willing to do and just kept on trucking.. ;)

Just ignore it.. Feel in you that you have accomplished ALOT! 20 lbs?! wow! Great job!
 
all of you are too kind! i love this place!

i was probably being a bit hyper sensitive about it, but that comes with knowing how hard i have been working for it. i know i am doing this for ME and no one else, so my opinion should be the one that matters most! Thank you so much for helping me see that :)

i LOVE coming here... i really can't say thank you enough for all of the kind words and positive encouragement!!! you all are the BEST!!!

I totally see a difference....in all honesty---I see that you've lost your double chin, something I was glad to see gone on myself as well. So Congrats on that!

I've had some roommates in my time and boy oh boy they just knew how to say the wrong things at the right time. Perfect timing you might say to sqwish a good mood---so to hell with them! :)

You look fabulous! You are very pretty and will be stunning once you reach the goal you have set for yourself! Keep up the hard work, and I agree with the others. Don't put too much faith in what the roomies are saying. It's how you look and feel that really matters!

That's a good word! Even though your statement is so true much of the time, you aren't saying it is ALWAYS true. :D
