Dear all,
I hope anyone can help me with this.
Yesterday night I did a 1.5 mile run, afterwards some crunches, squats, and stretching.
About an hour after finishing, I suddenly got fever-like symptoms: very cold, shivering, cold/tingly hands and fingers, fast heart rate. After sleeping, all was back to normal. (So it's not the flu.)
Though I'm used to running very short distances, this run was twice as long as I usually run non-stop. I didn't feel exhausted afterwards though, and felt I had energy left.
I searched a bit and I found that runners sometimes have this problem after increasing the distance. Could this, on a smaller scale, be similar? Or maybe it's a result of bad cooling down?
Does anyone (maybe the experts?) know the cause of this, and whether it's harmful? It sorta got me worrying.
