Feeling fat

Hi,

It is starting to hit me more and more everyday, I am getting fat. I used to be heavily active working 7 days a week doing a lot of heavy labour, then straight after work hitting the Gym, I lost a fair amount of fat, shoulders bulky, man tits starting to fade away etc etc.

However I left my job and went to college, suddenly I find myself sitting in front of the computer for the first 7 hours of the day, then doing the same when I get home.

Just recently "scrapped" my computer, yep literally let it get so bad maintained that it manage to overheat and damage the CPU fan bracket (sorry, not getting technical, part of the story).

So now I have rid of the bane of my life, I have done it before and I want to do it again.

Having the computer stops me from getting off my ass and doing stuff in life, it is gone this time until I feel as if I can control my time spent on it.

So here I am, I need to lose weight. Not to mention it is killing my sex life, badly.

I currently weight around 195lb, 5ft8. I am by no means "fat fat", my belly is pretty decent sized but my shoulder bulkyness and leg muscles have never changed.

I shall get to the point here:

I am at college, my funds suck, I can not really afford to go to a Gym. I currently have jump ropes, exercise ball and a 25kb dumbell set, not to mention a bike and a mountain <1mile from my home.

So what can I do with what I have at my disposal? I want to lose fat but want to build muscle, aka remain big and heavy but lose the fat!

I am free 4 days of the week and everyday after college, I want to spend ALL of this time for training.

5 times up and down the mountain, jump ropes for 3 mins, exercise ball- squats and squats with weights. And then weight training which is your goal. Focus on the arms and biceps.

I think that the cheapest way to loose some weight especially at the beginning is running. All you need is a good pair of shoes and some motivation. You can start from 4-kilometer distance and increase it about 10% every week. That should also improve your stamina, which will surely help in further trainings.

Just remember one thing. Start now! Don't waste any day and you should feel better in no time :)

self motivation is better than a gym and free.... Don't read me wrong I love a gym and have been in and out of one most of my life. You have your time schedule now use it, use your jump rope 25 times 3, look up runners.com 8 ways to do pushups, that will be using your exer
cise ball as well with dumbells. Do 3 sets of 20 dumbbells different ways. Ride that bike working up to 10mi a day if can. maintain a good dite... Have fun...
