Feasibility....

I want to try HIIT, but unfortunately my time is VERY limited, due to an insanely busy schedule. I decided to make time to workout by sacrificing my lunch hour at work and staying a half hour later in order to have an extra 30 minutes to shower and whatnot afterwards.

I have been doing what an only personal trainer had told me and using the treadmill at about 4.0 speed, and increasing the incline in order to bring my heart rate up. that's been fine but I feel like it's not enough. So I started on the stair master for 35 minutes, and at the end yah I am sweating like dog, but I wonder how effective it is at burning fat.

Sooo, I read about HIIT and I read about what HIIT is and what it is not. I think "hey..maybe i should try hit..." But then the more I read, the more I think...umm...maybe not. The idea of throwing up is never appealing.

Ever.

Plus, I am at a gym at work....I doubt they would appreciate me throwing up in a trash can while they are working out.

so, to get to the point...

1. Can HIIT be effective without making myself throw up.
2. Is it even advisable to do if your workout time, is over your lunchtime at work?

thanks in advance.

To keep it short...

1.) HIIT is very possible without making yourself vomit...you intensity levels should be progressed gradually so that your cardiovascular/lactate system can accomodate the workloads.

2.) Most of my clients are corporate people who have 30 minutes for lunch and our workouts last 20-25 minutes. You can get a good workout in 15 minutes. Again, all depends on your fitness level.

HIIT is perfectly feasible for you if you don't mind freaking your employees a little bit with how hard you are working out!

Are you going to do the HIIT on the treadmill aswell?
