Fatique, and other changes during weight loss.

My weight loss journey began at the end of April 2010. I'm walking as much as I can have lost 30 pounds along the way and felt very energetic. Now..the past few weeks I've been feeling tired. I may have to increase my "healthy carbs" make sure I'm eating enough, that may have a part in it. Also a friend of mine told me it's very common to go through these changes as I'm experiencing now. Feeling tired, moody, and other changes..maybe feeling more hungry. Has anyone else experienced this through their weight loss journey? I'm not giving up, and still going to push through. I have 70 pounds to go until I reach my goal, and to my guess. I hope to get there by next summer/fall at the pace I'm currently going on my weight loss.
 
Are you currently taking vitamins/supplements?

Sometimes what you're describing is because you're not getting enough of a particular set of nutrients.

Are you getting enough sleep or water?

I get tired when I don't have enough of either.
 
Yeah I'd get your bloods tested to rule anything out (there are many things it could be) but otherwise just put it down to weight loss. Our bodies were built to either gain or maintain weight. We were meant to keep ourselves going after familne, after finding an animal to feed of and then maybe not another for a few days. Our bodies do not like to lose weight, they read is as starvation and that means death.

So I'd say a fair amount of fatigue, aches and feeling low would be classed as normal as well as strong hunger signals. But if its to the point where it feels its interrupting your day to day life and is not something you can live with, get it checked out and get some nutritional health. Make sure your eating a balanced diet.

How much are you eating? If you're eating enough, you shouldn't be feeling tired. However if you're in starvation mode, then tiredness, moodiness are all expected and you may need to raise your calories.

I would just go to the doctor and get your blood fully tested, it can't hurt. It's possible that simply because of obesity you have abnormalities in blood.
 
I'm not counting calories..just too stressful and a pain in the butt. I would say 12-1400 on most days. I think I should be eating at least 2000.

2000 sounds like your maintenance calories for a sedentary lifestyle, I wouldn't eat that much unless you're losing at least 500 calories a day from exercise to give you at least a 1 lb / week loss. As long as you're eating over 1200 calories you should be mostly okay, 1200-1400 is a good weight loss amount. If you feel really, really hungry you could eat 1500 but I really wouldn't eat more than that unless you're exercising a lot or are content with losing weight very slowly.

I was previously eating between 1200-1400 and I was struggling to get to the end of the day. I would definately not go to 2000.
I know counting calories is a lot of trouble but if your not, you really don't know. Accurate portions and calorie counting is really a necessity to stay on track. There are hidden calories in so many thing that aren't really noticed. Find a good calorie tracking website and keep a book with you. At the end or beginning of each day or whenever you have a spare few minutes, log them. I bet you'll be suprised at the number of calories you are actually consuming.
I started my weightloss back last year but didn't start counting calories until May of this year, that is when my real loss began to happen. For me, if I go a day without counting, even on days I eat more than I should, I feel lacking. Like I cheated myself.
As you get further on it will become even more important to know how many proteins, carbs and fats you are eating. Your body needs so much of each and if you are depriving in one way or another you won't feel as good as you should.
