I wanted to thank everyone for the input that I have received, particularly on diet (you guys know your stuff!). I have finally buckled down on losing weight (planned on losing 10-15 lbs. by the first week of August as of July 10). This is a very out-there goal for me and requires a lot of work and discipline.
As of July 10:
Age: 19 Height: 5'3" Weight: 151 pounds
As of July 16:
Weight: 147.0 pounds
Although this amount is only 4 pounds, I am very satisfied. Not only have I been doing on average 40 minutes of cardio a day, but I also have done a little bit of weight training. This means that I more than likely gained some weight from muscle as well. I can notice a difference in my body as well. My stomach is more flat and I can almost see "ab lines" under my skin. Hopefully, those muscles will show more once I lose more fat!
I am eating healthier. No fried foods. I am eating carbs, but a lower amount, and usually whole grain or wheat. I also eat a lot of salads, fruit, and lean meats like turkey. I have cut down the amount of my dressings by half (I was so bad about overdoing it that my boyfriend called me "Scoop.") I am having horrible chocolate cravings though. I am drinking more water than normal...(I can still work on that more though...) Any suggestions. Keep in mind that I am a college student so I am COMPLETELY BROKE (as in no credit card and like $50 in the bank to last me a week)
Thanks guys for your help!
Allison
