Hello Everyone

I have just recently found this forum.

I am 35 year old Irish male, airline pilot and currently living and working in Hong Kong.

I have weighed over 17st for the past number of years, really just sitting at work and eating constantly.

Like everyone else who is overweight I hate the way I look, and my weight is constantly on my mind.

I have a medical every 12 months which i dread!

I have been on Atkins for 2 weeks and lost 7lbs, so that has spurred me on, starting some weimming tomorrow! so wish me luck!

Anyhow just wanted to say Hello!

The Yearly

In 2006, HKIA handled 44 million passengers and 3.6 million tonnes of cargo. It is the primary hub for Cathay Pacific, Dragonair, Hong Kong Express Airways, Hong Kong Airlines, Oasis Hong Kong Airlines and Air Hong Kong. I assumed you worked for NWA the first to go to the Orient but see they do not have a base there. Do you speak Mandarin?

My father was a pilot, inventor, sales, service for Cessna, uncles, brothers, cousins. I flew for United, my brother and 2 cousins are with SW now, formerly United and Braniff, respectively.

Its good you have joined the forum I am fairly new but I have found the folks to be informed, helpful and supportive. It does good for me just to hear their experience and keeps me focused on slimming down, eating healthier and exercising more. I am encouraged.

I wish you well it would be good not to worry re the yearly. Kathy:)

Welcome!
Your job sounds very exciting. I'll bet you have seen the world. I lived in South Korea for 5yrs, so I know what it's like living in Asia.

There is a ton of support and help here, so feel free to ask questions if you have any. Don't be shy. How tall are you, and how much do you want to lose? 17st isn't too bad if you're tall.

Oh, and I can always use an Irish pilot in my WLF harem of hotties...if you're so inclined. But I will warn you---my group's a wild and crazy bunch--not for the faint of heart..lol:rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Oh, and there is a great Halloween challenge you should sign up for in the challenges section. It will be a great motivator, supporter, and lots of fun. Hope to see you there!:jump:

Recently become an airline pilot

Hi, i've recently changed jobs to become an airline pilot, and now that I am fully qualified to fly for 12 hours straight without doing anything meaningful at all, I have noticed that all I do is eat doughnuts, pies, frozen curries and stare out of the window wondering how I can sleep at night taking the money for what I am doing. I used to be respected as an individual and a pilot, but now I just eat two people's dinners and play soduko...not that I can ever finish them anymore.

I heard of a DUKAN diet, but I thought it was DUNKIN' and so just ate more doughnuts....

Any pointers would be great:hurray:
