I wanted to know if anyone out there has dealt with or is dealing with family members acting weird because of your weight loss? It is the most backwards thing to me, I was always the "CHUBBY ONE" even when I had lost weight before. I was always reminded that I was fat before, and this was when I was a kid! Now that I am in my thirties I get less talk and more bad looks and certain family members implying that they are my size which in fact they clearly wear a size 12 and I am now a 2! I never throw my size around or even my weight because that's not me. I talk to one person only about my weight....ugh, it's just really crazy to me

Sweet and simple: They're jealous!
No, really they are. I've heard tons of stories about family members who had lost weight and the other family members picking on them (constantly reminding them of how they USED to be, how ugly they look now that they are skinny, etc...). I really wouldn't let it bother you, it's just petty human jealousy and they need to just suck it up and learn to except the NEW you. :D

Fox is right - they are jealous... It happens among groups of friends too... People can get very used to the idea that they have a better figure than you - and they really do not want to give up that way of looking at things...

I have a friend who was actually supportive of my weight loss attempt and gave me low calorie food when we visited when I weighed 100 pounds more than her... As soon as I got so that I weighed the same as her or less than her - she started serving up fattening stuff every time... She has always known that I have a hormonal medical condition that means that I have to work really hard to not gain weight - so she should really know better than to serve me fattening stuff...
