Extreme Pain

Hey guys i have been in soccer season since july so I have not been lifting. Now that soccer is over i did a pretty light routine the first day. Everything was a little sore afterward but cleared up ok....except my biceps. I worked them pretty light i only did preacher curls 2 sets grip in 2 sets grip out with a lighter weight than usual. Nothing felt awkward or nothing hurt doing them or immediately after. Then the next morning i woke up and i could not extend my arms. I have been lifting off and on for a while so i know the difference in feeling between a good burn from a workout and just pure pain. It hurts especially in the insides of my elbows. I seriously can't even straighten my arms all the way. I figured it would go away but it has been 4 days already with almost no change. I ice my biceps and elbows every day now but still the pain stays. Does anyone know what I should do or has anyone had this happen to them before? What should I do?

its because of the preacher curls, you just overdid it. Let them rest and dont work out your biceps until it heals. Ive had the same thing.

4 sets for biceps is more than I do in a session, and you just started training again.

in other words, you over did it.
heavy back work builds big biceps, not countless sets of curls.

Yep, very same thing is happening to me at the moment. I was actually very happy to find this thread because I was going to ask the same question. I have had it before after starting again after a break, yea mainly pain in the elbow join, cant extend arms fully. Doesnt usually take a week for me though, bout three days or so. I went on Friday, its Sunday evening now so I am hoping it will be gone by tomorrow so I can go again!

My first time lifting for a while last week.

Back and bis was last Tuesday, today I can extend my arms without pain for the first time since. I was lifting less than a third of what I was when I stopped. It happens, your body will soon adjust.
