exercises not to look bulky

Hi! I am new to this site but hoping that someone may know the answer to my question.
In one of the magazines I read Tracy Anderson's ( Madonna's instructor, I believe) short interview. She was telling that she helps her clients " pull out" bigger muscles and "pull in" smaller muscles so their bodies won't look so bulky.
Does anybody know where I can find information on this subject? Maybe someone knows the exercises?
Thank you. I appreciate your responses.
Sincerely,
Svetlana

Not sure about the pulling out and pulling in stuff but it isn't likely you'll get bulky from weight training.

Most men have to work very very hard to get "bulky" (balanced workout and perfect diet) and women have far less testosterone (the hormone which allows men to grow large muscles) than men do.

You'll have to ask Madonna's instructor, because she/he is the only person on the planet that knows...because she/he made it up...because she/he is a quack.

This is 100%......the truth!!

You seriously need not worry about getting too bulky. Also for anybody it is never going to happen overnight so it isn't as though you would suddenly get too "bulky" out of nowhere.

As said though it is hard enough for men to get big. Balanced diet and the right use of cardio and resistance exercises will get you to where you want to be. There is no magic involved, all this celebrity talk is rubbish most of the time ;)

I still have a question

Thank you for the responses.

What I really worried is developing too much muscle mass in the upper parts of my arms ( I saw women like this, it did not look appealing) while the lower parts will stay thin.
I have been taking fighting classes and it looks like the upper parts of my arms look bigger now, and I do not like it.
Sorry for my ignorance, can arm muscles be developed equally? Do I need to do additional exercises to " catch up" with the upper parts of my arms?
I do not go to gym ( I am not lazy, it's just not my type of environment), but prefer doing my exercises diligently at home.
Please, if you have advice, respond.

Women don't have the ability (without the use of steroids) to get "bulky", at least not in the sense of a man. Professionals have to work extremely hard to get the way they do and most use substances to help them.

I agree with the other posters, what type of exercises do you already do? I'm guessing that you want to train your forearms...is that correct?

thanks for the responses

Thank you for the responses. I will keep them in mind.

I realized that I was not able to explain myself very well ( Russia roots). On top of that, I am not that well familiar with the weight training terminology (I am an amteur, do exercises at home). So, I talked to a fitness instructor, he gave me some advices.

Thanks for your time.
