Exercise Bike Vs Rowing Machine

Hi guys,
This is my first post. Good to be here.

I am looking to buy some more home equipment and I am aiming for an effective cardio workout. I tried steps but I didnt get enough out of it.

I am looking to buy either a cycle machine or a rower. Does anyone know which one is more effective? If they are the same in effect, it would be nice to know which one is more popular amongst forum members.

Many thanks,
Nick

A rower would be better as you'll be using the upper body as well as the lower body. But if your weight training anyway then it makes no diff. CV is just to burn calories.

If you're looking for efficient calorie burning, go with the rower...

If you want something you can sit on for 30-45 minutes watching Oprah, go with the bike.

Try a Schwinn Airdyne bike. You get the comfort of a bike yet you get the upper body workout. They last forever with little to no maintenance and give as good a cardio workout as anything on the market when you put the pedal to the metal.

Rowing is much much much more exhausting.
