Exercise and heart rate questions

Hello folks
Hoping someone can shed some light for me
Male 47
Non Smoker
Have always been pretty fit and played soccer most of life

My normal heart rate is 55 bpm
BP normal 120/80 range

Play indoor soccer 2,3x per week for an hour
Intense workout....
My heart gets up to about 180 bpm
About half hour later it is back down to 70 bpm and returns
to 55/60 after 3 hours

IS this telling me I am not in great shape??
I have heard that within an hour your heart rate sb back to normal??

Have taken BP while playing....... 150/100
It returns to normal range shortly after so I dont think it is my Bp
Make sure I am hydrated well during game, drink lots of water, Gatorade etc

The other thing is every once in a while I will have a headache proceding the game.....usually within an hour......??

Had an echo stress done last year and everything appeared normal

Thanks

I am not an expert but it would sound to me like its telling you that at a restful state your hearts bp is 55/60..and when your heart is at a fast paced/Stressed and working out. its BP naturally INCREASES..

sounds like you're in better shape than most 47 year olds. I wouldn't get too concerned about it. The HR raises in high intensity efforts, like playing soccer would be, and takes a while to lower back down. A resting HR of 55-60 is very good in my opinion.
