excess skin

I'm 18 6'3 and I was skinny than i gradually gained weight and got up to 240, didnt stay there for very long maybe a month, but I've been overweight for about a year and a few months, I'm down to 215 and trying to get to 180-200. Will I have to worry about excess skin? I work out 5 days a week and run 5 days a week as well, and most things I've read say it's good to get muscle as you lose weight which is what I've been doing but I'm still worried about excess skin, should I be? I'm going to college in a place where I'll probably take my shirt off a lot so I dont want excess body fat

Worry? No. Lose weight smart, not fast, that will help your skin shrink back a bit better. A lot of people get down closer to their goal weight and mistake excess body fat for loose skin. Building muscle helps to fill skin out, but if you still have body fat, it will just make you look bigger instead of "toned". Also, some of it is genetic and out of your control, but your young, so should be mostly fine.
Good luck with all your shirtless college fun. hehe ;)

yeah i have some stretch marks but I don't know what constitutes as a lot. I have some on my shoulders and hips and some on my back, would there be any way to reduce the chance of excess skin? Like taking certain vitamins or anything etc
