Just what you guys thought about weight training. Do you prefer to do it everyday along with a cardio workout, or do you do it every other day. I've been doing a !/2 hr each everyday. What do you think?
 
Whew! 2 hours of weight training? I'm shaky after a half hour. What are you doing for your weight training?

I prefer to do my cardio and weight training together, but I'm not really working on building up strength - just preserving the muscles I already have. Most people alternate days.

Steve - or someone who knows more about this than I do - how long do weight training sessions usually take?
 
I myself never did any weight training when I was losing weight, but that's not recommended. Nowadays I just go with doing about 30-40 pressups in evening and morning coupled with my running/cycling/swimming and it keeps me quite toned.
I'm sure steve will sort you out though, he knows all.
 
You need to give your body a day in between weight training sessions to give it time to recover. You can either do full body workouts every other day, which I think is what most people do here, or you can do an upper/lower body split if you prefer to weight train every day, so you're not working the same muscles on consecutive days.
