Hi everyone

19 years old from the lovely town Bracknell :nopity: . Anyway my story!

I broke up with my ex a couple of years back and me being an idiot felt sorry for myself so what did I do? I ate and denied I was getting fat. Now it's serious and it's affecting my health. I noticed it the other day that I couldn't even walk up a hill I used to walk up everyday without getting out of breath. It's my fault all this weight has been put on because I kept avoiding going on a diet but now it's time to face the truth that I'm seriously overweight and something NEEDS to be done. I haven't had a girlfriend again since my last one because of the weight I've put on and it's that what really gets to me :(

Also the men in my family all have a history of blood pressure problems and my weight isn't going to help that in the future if I have it too.

Joined up for just some support on here, which hopefully I get, and for advice from people. I would love to lose this weight, more then anything in the world. It's now or never really and I don't wanna be single for the rest of my life and looking like I am now ain't gonna help me out!!

I've set myself up a plan that I wanna lose 1 pound a week. I'm starting proper sunday, only because I've already got stuff planned this weekend (beer, football etc :Angel_anim: ). Sunday will be my first weigh in day, and then every sunday morning. I'm going to take a picture of myself every week so I can actually see the weight falling off (well hopefully!). I've bought myself a bike and some weights to work out with. There's 7 weeks until 20th December (when I finish work for xmas) which I want to lose 7 pounds. I'm going to try and give up the booze at weekends until then, but being young doing that ain't gonna be easy!! Especially when watching Aldershot Town FC to try and make it interesting!! ;)

I don't really have a target weight but I used to be a 34" jean waist and fit comfortably into a medium shirt and would give anything to do that again. But I'm going to take it month by month and set small goals to achieve the long term goal.

Sorry for the long intro!!

Cheers

Hi!
This is definitely a fantastic place for motivation and support. There's some great info on here.
It sounds like you have a really good realistic plan.
I've decided to do weekly weigh-ins too - mine's every Saturday.
Wishing you all the best with the task ahead :)
