Eric's Plan... suggestions?

Well, I just wanted to mention what I plan to do and if this was a good approach. As it is, I seem to have enough muscle to burn fat. So, we all know muscle weighs more than fat. But when losing weight, the scale is the only thing to let you know how you're doing (unless you measure yourself). Since we see ourselves everyday, we don't see us getting thinner, and that can be very discouraging.

Now when you're trying to lose weight, and you lift weights along with cardio, instead of losing weight quickly, you slowly lose it because of the muscle gain. My plan is to get to my desired weight before I start working with weights. Thus, I will be held back emotionally by the muscle weight gain.

It seems to be working so far but what are your thoughts?
