Ok, so my name is Emily and I am from north carolina. I am in college and i also work. I am going to school for psychology and I will have my associate's degree in May. I just got accepted into a very nice university and I am wanting to lose quiet a large amount of weight before I begin there in August. I am 20 years old and I have ballooned back up to 305 lbs. The highest weight I have ever been was 315 after my mom passed away, I then got down to 260 lbs and now I am right back where I started! I hope to be successful and lose even more weight this time and keep it off! I look forward to this journey and meeting new people who share a common interest. Also, I am looking for a partner who I could help encourage and have the encouragement reciprocated. If you are interested, please just let me know. =)

Hi Emmy, welcome to the forum, I saw your nick in the 200's club, so i thought i would say hi to you here as well. My highest weight was 350 and I lost 50 pounds fairly quickly when i found out i was diabetic..ive been 300 ish for a long time now and for some reason really struggle to get into the 200's
I am a singer/ song writer and have just started up a new band and...I know i would feel more comfortable on stage if i was a bit smaller..
The main reason for me needing to lose this weight are health issues *looking good is an added bonus*
Anyways... im here if you want to chit chat.. take care
Michelle

Hey Emmy,
welcome to your diary. What changes are you going to make to lose the weight and live more healthily? Do you want to exercise and if yes, what were you thinking of doing?

I wish you all the best and I will pop in to check on you, Camy

Thanks everybody for the comments. Brazen, being a singer/songwriter is amazing. I have always wanted to be a singer in a rock band, lol. And Camy, what I plan to do is start going to the gym regularly, eating healthy and stop going out to eat so much! Today I have started my eating healthy plane, it is 1:38 pm here and my caloric intake for today so far is 900. Maybe a lil high for this early, but compared to my normal diet, this is an extremely good thing!

btw Emmy, i like how you are doing your weight loss ticker in smaller goals... When i look at mine (145lbs to go) It feels a bit overwhelming.

Thanks brazen n lostnfound =) Just got home from a night out with friends n I hope the alcohol intake didnt screw up my weight for tomorrow too bad....or I guess I shud say today. lol . hope u guys r doing great n I will be back in the mornin =)

~Emmy.

Having some 'pleasures' in life is all part of healthy living, just be aware of how the rest of your week goes and DO NOT ever say "Crap, ive messed up my weight loss plan, Oh well, I guess ill start next week!" lol..just add it all in to your totals

Brazen~ that is exactly what crossed my mind last night!!!!!!!! lol i was like well I will just start eating better next week because thats when I am starting the gym! Then I told myself NO!!!! thats the type of reasoning that has led me back up to the weight I am at now!!

However, apparently I shook (sp?) my booty enough last night to burn quite a few calories!!!!!! =D

Weigh in at 304 today =)

Thats the great part about when u start out losing weight, you lose it so quickly, but then, I get frustrated fairly quickly because it starts slowing down, but this time I AM GOING TO BE SUCCESSFUL!!!!!!

=)

Brazen~ I also meant to mention the weight loss in small goals, when I first made my ticker the other day, I had it in a large goal, and then I seen that I need to lose at least 145 lbs and I was overwhelmed, so hopefully, I am planning to be the 275 lbs by Christmas....that would be nice.

So....I have made up my mind that I am going to weigh everyday, but I will only change my ticker on saturdays.....

one thing you guys may notice is I am very random and tend to post alot hehe.

Something else I do to help me lose weight is park further away at my job....trust me, it is one hell of a hike up that parking lot.

Hey Emmy!
I think your smaller goals are a great idea!!! I myself did a night of some drinking last night but I'm only weighing in once a week....I'm thinking that weighing daily like you are doing might be a good way to keep myself on track!

Goodluck to you! :D

thanks kitty n thanks for stoppin by! I see you have already been quite successful in your weightloss! Congrats n keep up the good work!

Welcome and congrats on your goals! I have a lot of the same goals you have and want to be 275 by Christmas. What helped me a lot with eating out is preparing meals in advance for work. For example this week I cooked up chicken and rice on sunday and then made 500 calorie dishes of chicken, veggies and rice to take to work for lunch.

Weighing everyday is good for me as a general guide to keep myself in check, but I only focus on my number each week. Otherwise the ups and down of day-to-day can really ruin your motivation. I used to be a bit obsessive!:banghead:

haha I know exactly what u mean, saturdays are going to be my ticker changing day. today i did weigh in at 302.8 tho =) hope everyone is doing well!!

ok im back after mia for a few days....everything has been so hectic with school! And as we kan see, I havent dealt too well with the stres...sooo...getn back on track...again..haha

Reallllly wana see my weight drop again isntead of go back up.

Thanks brazen =)

Hi Emmy, welcome back...and also..good for you in coming back. The most important thing is that you don't give up. I have left the forum a couple times for a while.. *longer than a couple days, thats for sure* but, i do best when i come and write down my thoughts and progress...whether its good or bad.
Michelle

Hi Emmy,

How often do you go on the scales? Your weight depends upon the time of the day, sodium intake, TOM and other factors. If I have had some alcohol the night before my weight tends to fluctuate in the morning (becomes less- due to dehydration), if I have had more sodium, I tend to weigh more. I usually weigh early in the morning after I wake up and before I have breakfast.

Good luck with your journey. Your goals are totally realistic and you are doing it the right way. Good luck with school.
