This is the beginning of a new me..

At least physically.
I'm very tired of being.. well, tired and bloated all the time. I've definately lost my shape and I'm only twenty! So.. tomorrow - no more fast food, regular exercise and daily logging in my journal here. I know from experience (thirty pounds lost) that this site really works so I hope anyone reading can help support me through this new journey.

I don't want to call today DAY ONE .. but if I don't there won't be a day two!
It's pretty late so I'm going to work in some wight lifting but that's about it..

I'll make up for it in researching some good sites! Anybody know any?

Okay.. here we go
I am trying to be creative because it's REALLY cold outside so I can't run. And no treadmill right now to hit... so I am looking up some videos online. I used to have lots of fun with Tae Bo. The dog's get so excited when I'm hoppin' around!!
 
spend some time reading the threads in the exercise forum -you'll get lots of ideas for home workouts.. that don't require a lot of equipment..
 
I did it !!
Wow - this was the first day I ate healthy and exercised in months!! I pulled out my old Tae Bo videos and did a quick cardio session. And my abs and arms are so sore already! Haha - they've been out of commission for toooo long :)
Well.. I'm pretty proud of myself. Sean came home today with a double cheeseburger for me (jerk, haha) and I said "no thank ya" !! I'm hoping once I start getting results in a few weeks it might motivate him to be healthy himself. I just hate it how guys can lose weight so fast when they want to.. all that muscle :p
So tomorrow.. I need to make myself a plan: 30 minutes cardio (make it to the treadmill!) and more weight training. Ten glasses of water.. and I should definately have one of my protein shakes I used to drink. They ALWAYS kick my cardio workout up a notch!

Alright.. I'm really getting into this! I forgot how much fun it can be!
On Friday, when we're paid, I'm hoping to get a microwave.. we never got one because I love the taste you get from the oven so much better and didn't need it but now - I want to make Lean Cuisines. I pratically lived off those last time I was on here. They rock! Gourmet cooking in under three minutes haha. My favorite is bruschetta pizza!
Anyways, I'm off to bed for beauty sleep.
Can't wait to get my second day started !! :):)

I TOOK 'BEFORE' PICTURES OF ME !! *ugh*
but they have to be posted so I stay motivated.
PLUS I really really really want in that challenge ...

That, uh, appears to be a link to the attachment in your email account. No one but you will be able to view it. Trying using the manage attachments button a ways down the page when editing your post ( /making a new one), or linking to pictures you've uploaded to photobucket, imageshack, flickr or any other file hosting service.

haha, yeah I realized that after, but thanks... I was in a rush to post for the challenge - but I think it's for the better, nobody wants to see them anyways :)

I saw that you were asking about challenges in Abbagirl (Janice)'s diary. I suspect that you could join just about any of the challenges apart from Biggest loser and Valentines Day ones. All the rest are either ongoing or have started up pretty recently and I am sure would let you join in. I must be in about a dozen challenges. I join them all and have lost count.

Good luck in your weight loss project.

You're not actually required to make them public. There is the alternative of pm'ing them to nikegirl24 (an admin). Just make sure she knows what it's for.

HAHAHA.. you're hilarious Focus. And thanks for the tip - a little late.. haha I've already thrown up the pictures of me. There's no going back now! And yes, I'm lazy .. you already know me all to well :)
Ohhh.. but today, NO LAZY LIZ TODAY - I have a date with the fitness room at 4 so Good Luck to me on that. And once again groceries are low so overeating won't be a problem haha. My menu is some tomato soup and a tuna sandwich for lunch.

And thanks for all the comments. I love to see everyone in on this so I have to take some time to reach your diaries. Hope everyone else is doing great - I'm feeling not bloated and energetic today so YIPEEEE !! Cheers ~
 
Okay.. today I got my cardio in. I ran on the treadmill but.. only lasted 15 minutes. I walked a bit but *sigh* I am just a lot more out of shape than I thought. Tomorrow I'm going back though and I used to have a lot of stamina after drinking a protein shake a few hours before, so that's my plan.
And I ate really good! Yay.. even when I went out for supper. And during the movie I didn't munch out like I usually would! I just feel so much better this way.
Hope everyone else is doing great, it's my first day on the body transformation contest and I feel like I've already done some progress - no big bloaty tummy!!!
Can't wait to get back on the treadmill tomorrow. I'm dying to sneak a peak at the scale but I think it's too son, I'll just dissapoint myself ~ Cheers.
 
I'm starting to feel hungry now when I wake up.
I mean.. I used to feel like I just ate a big Christmas dinner (and then went to McDonald's afterwards) in the mornings, but this is awesome! I WANT breakfast!!

So.. I'm pulling out the ol' protein shake and a bowl of oatmeal. I need to be all energized for my workout today because I can't give up like yesterday. Although I was on a time limit anyways because we went to see Juno. And that's an awesome movie by the way!
I'm peeing like ALL the time too. It's like I'm pregnant again. But I find I like the feeling because it's like I'm all oiled up properly on the inside now that I'm drinking 8 glasses.
Okay enough for now - I'll post once I've gone running.

Can't wait until it's nice enough outside to go. Today is -36 !!!

I keed. You are so positive and excited. It's contagious. In a good way. Not like the other thing that makes you pee a lot. ;)

Try to remember how you feel now when you get to the 2-4 week slump that causes most people to quit.
 
Tell me about it - I'm a two weeker haha. But I was thinking when I come to Day 14 I'll just pretend it's the first all over again. Now if only I got this excited over school.
I RAN 20 MINUTES !! That's a lot for a beginner haha.. and I was so ready to quit half way through. My face gets so red when I workout - even before when I had gotten into the swing of things for a good two months I still got all red. Like a tomato. Or that cool neon "Duff Beer" sign we just got haha.
 
I'm slightly nervous about the weekend. I've sworn off alcohol just because it's empty calories and I don't feel like I've had enough progress to treat myself just yet - I'm saving that for Valentine's Day so I don't bring Sean down with my calorie counting! I just am going to have to keep myself busy. No cardio tomorrow because I am so0o0ore. Plus I'm not a machine.. haha once everyother day is just perfect! I'm worried about the eating - because when Sean's bored he'll pick up McDonald's or something and.. ahh *drool* I'm just thinking of it all ready... oh glorious trans fat.
I'm looking forward to some shopping for healthy foods. I've dusted of the cookbooks I bought and never used. Still have that new book smell. Jaimie Oliver is mocking me on the cover, haha. I'll show him. I'm going to go wild in the fruits and veggie department. And I mean wild. I'll pick up fruits I ain't never seen before.. (love the grammar).
Okay, so that's it I think. I need some hot sauce because I know spicy foods kick up your metabolism for a bit. And tea, I love my green tea.

Okay - I've got another huge reason to lose weight NOW
I'm starting my old job at a piano bar and I have gained so much weight then. I just don't want to go back looking all fat. I start this Friday so I don't have much of an option unless I get emergency lipo haha.. but it means I have to stay more focused! This weekend I didn't do too great.. and I feel all bloaty again. I'll be back on the treadmill tomorrow giving it my all. Because I just want to feel good about myself again when I go back there.
 
I know I've been once a day but I guess only posted once 8 days ago haha.
I must be sitting at the same weight since I haven't done much in a week.. work and all the excitement threw me off track. Once I have that first shot too with all my old buddies at the club I get cravings for fried'n'greasy bar food - yuck ! I'm going prepared this weekend, bring some LC (haha lean cuisines).. and no booze. Empty silly calories and I don't even feel the shot - not when you're workin that hard.
