I've been trying to lose weight for a while, but i haven't really been all that serious about it until now. But I'm going all out now. I'm really trying to get healthy and in shape. I'm 20, 5'11", and 200lbs. My current goal is 175lbs. I started trying to lose weight in January '07 and I've lost 30lbs since then with just simple exercise and no diet. In the last 2 months it's gotten substantially harder to lose weight. I've decided to go on a 2000 cal diet in combination with my daily gym routine so that i can really start shedding some pounds. My workout includes weight/resistance training and cardio at the gym. Monday-Friday I spend about an hour lifting, targeting different muscle groups each day. I then spend about 15~20 min doing medium cardio. Weekends are my intense cardio days, I do about 45min on the treadmill running (some walking in between) and about 30 min on the stationary bike afterwards. The running is about 4-6 miles depending on how fast I run or how long I spend walking. The bike is about 8-12 miles depending on how fast I pedal and the resistance level. I'm gonna try that H.I.I.T. stuff that i read about on here on my next cardio day. Seems pretty hard but I'm still gonna try it. So that's about it for now. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. But in the mean time I'm gonna try to do some reading on here and see if I can answer any of the questions I have. thanks
