Sport Eggs

Believe it or not, i had my first scrambled egg over christmas. My bro tells me there is quite alot of protein in them, pretty much 0 carbs but quite alot of fat (in the yolk). Would you suggest including them in your daily diet?

There's like 6g of protein in an egg. I don't consider it a lot, but it's perhaps the most complete source of protein you can find.

Here's what I do:

1 whole egg (I use omege-3 eggs, but you can use regular).
3/4-1cp egg whites.
3-4oz lean ham, chopped.
1/4 cp shredded cheese (I use mexican seasoned cheese).

That's a ton of protein, on the order of 30g or more.

eggactly!.. I usually only 3 eggwhites no yellows but

Try it with nO fat cheese ( slices :/), and no-fat milk ( for an eggstra 10-13gms of protein) aand trade your salty meat for an omega rich tinned fish .

Do thaat with a juicey ( to the mood fruit and veg combo ) smoothie with protein powder ( and loads of mint and celery ) in it and that is some awesome fuel.

cheers.

eggs can be bad for cholestrol but if you eat them as part of a healthy diet and with exercise you should be ok.

it is indeed the 'yolk' part that contains 99% of the fat, and all the cholesterol.

IF you already have high cholesterol and a family history of high cholesterol, then yes, you should limit your egg YOLK intake.

I generally do 2 yolks and 5 whites daily.

No doubt everything else you're eating plays a role in how good they are for you aswell.
My guess, is that mainly it would reeally depend on whatelse you were doing to yourself.
