Egg Starts

Well, I am on a diet for weight loss and goto gym. I some times make omlettes with Egg starts(Kirkland brand from costco) are these just the egg whites or do they have yellow as well:confused: any idea mates?

well, what's listed as ingredients? If it says "egg whites" then its whites. If it says "whole eggs" or mentions egg yolks, then it has some yolks.

another way is to look at nutrition facts. If it contains 0g of fat, then it can't contain any yolks because egg whites are fat free.

I looked on google, and only saw three kinds of Kirklands...

the egg starts appear to be similar to egg beaters..no yolks, but have added stuff to reconstitute the egg whites to be more normal. they also offer egg starts with added omega 3's, which should contain some fat, but the good kind.

Honestly, unless you have an existing cholesterol issue, go ahead and eat regular eggs. I have 1-2 yolks a day, plus 5 whites. This way they cook up like normal (scrambled, or an omlette) but have less fat.

you can't omit all fat, our you'll run into other health issues. 25-30% of your daily calories should be coming from fats...mostly unsaturated, but a little saturated is needed too. its usually not a problem getting enough saturated fat though.

Hey Malkore, Thanq for your reply, I ran back home and check the ingredients, it said, EGG WHITES 99%, I should have done this, but still thanx a lot for enlightening me on this.
