Hi! So I have lost a lot of weight by eating healthy and doing excercise.

I'll be going to Europe soon for a month with a group of people that don't really care about eating healthy at all and they stick to fast-foods restaurants most of the time.

My problem is that I don't want to stop eating healthy but I'm kind of stuck with whatever they do and I know that some fast food restaurants still offer healthy options. I won't be able to work out (I usually go for runs) but I'll be walking a lot I suppose, but I'm still scared to gain part of the weight I've lost. I still would like to know what advice and tips you guys could give me. Thank you so much!

Hi!

When you go for a run, how long do you run for? I found when I've done a lot of travelling I end up walking a LOT more, which may cover (or exceed!) how much running you do at home.

Maybe get a pedometer to track how many steps / how far you go in a day. If you run 3 miles normally, and you walk 3 miles in Europe, those would be pretty similar in calories. You can use that to get a sense for how on track you are relative to home.

For food, I tried to save my calories for new and unique foods in the place I was in. Avoid getting packaged treats in parks / etc., and save calories for good meals at cafes or restaurants - the ones you'll remember! I think I honestly ate things that I thought were more of an 'experience' - which was actually kind of helpful, because it made me more mindful of what I was eating. I think I actually took some of that home after trips, being more mindful of what I was eating and appreciating it more.
