Eating For Life - Anyone lost weight on this?

I recently purchased the Eating For Life book and I'm considering switching my current Michael Thurmond 6 Week Body Makeover to EFL because I think it's more of something I could live with and feel less deprived. The thing is that I'm not interested in the Fit For Life program and my exercise consists mainly of walking for 45-60 minutes 5 days per week and I'm trying to get myself back into exercising for 30 minutes in the morning when I get up (but I'm not there yet).

I've already lost 10 pounds on the 6WBMO over the past 4 weeks. I'm afraid the EFL plan might be too good to be true and at best I'll maintain and at worst I'll gain weight.

Any experiences any of you can share with this plan?

Thanks!

My experience

One of my failures. I got nowhere with it.
Recently I started a new program. So far so good, but the jury is still out on it (-:
Will post soon with remarks

Love eating for life plan

Hey Tub Cupcake, I purchased the book about 3 yrs ago after my first child and moderately did the plan. I started losing weight and then I got pregnant with my 2nd child. After he was born, I needed to lose about 40lbs. I started working out and doing the plan and I loved it. I lost 30lbs and toned everything up and was looking and feeling great. I loved the recipes especially the shakes and the breakfast quiche. I then got pregnant again (yes we figured out what causes it) and now 2 mths after my third baby and am starting it again. I only need to lose 15 lbs this time. I still cooked all the recipes and I make a meal plan like in the book and stick to it. I highly recommend it and I tell all my friends to try it. It is what worked best for me. Good luck.

Thanks for getting back to me. What kind of workouts were you doing? I hate working out, so only do things I enjoy like walking and my Leslie Sansone tapes. I do some floor exercises and light weights and resistance bands also.

I just got through cooking the shrimp scampi and the enchilada soup for my boyfriend. I like to cook healthy for him when he comes to visit me. I'm sticking to my current plan till next Wednesday, but what I made looks really good. I hope I will be able to eat this way and lose weight with my current activity. I really don't want to do 6WBMO for another six weeks. I'm going mental. I only have 8.5 pounds to go as of today, so I don't want to blow it and start gaining again.

Thanks for your help! Also, I'm totally impressed how you had 3 kids and took care of your body like that. So many people have kids, gain and never lose it again. Kudos to you!
