Hello All,
I am starting a new workout routine due to my schedule changes and I will have to workout in the morning from now on. So I was wondering if anyone had ANY advice and/or tips on morning workouts. I will be having to start my workout anywhere from 6:00-7:00 am and I am scared out of my mind!! I am worried that I will be too tired for work or just all of this crazy stuff. So if anyone has any advice on early morning workouts in general, let me know. Thanx.

Over the summer I was working at a warehouse and would get up at 6:30am and run a mile every morning. I don't know what kind of work you'll be doing, but I always felt super energized and pumped for the day. Also, that feeling didn't really go away until after dinner when it was time to wind down. I just wish I could wake up that early now, but school will be out soon enough so no more late night cramming!:)

Eat something before your workout, like a banana or something. Otherwise, other than making sure you have enough time, morning workouts aren't really any different from any other time of the day. It will wake you up better than a cup of coffee.

i actually find that i have a better workout in the morning than i do in the afternoon. that might be because it's over with and i don't have to worry about fitting it in later on in the day. i normally eat something small before (piece of toast or protein shake), then something small after (piece of fruit, egg). when i workout in the morning i feel less tired throughout the day. the only downside is the fact that i worry about not having enough time to finish my workout, eat, get ready, and get to where i have to be in time. but i'm a girl, and you didn't state whether you were male or female, but if you're a guy then you got the advantage of not taking as long to get ready! ha i also have to get to bed at a decent time in order to workout in the morning cause if i'm up late, it's not happening. don't stress about it though, i'm sure it'll 'work out' just fine!

Just make sure you do lots and lots of stretching and warm your body up before hand. You should do this before any workout but for me I find I really need it in the mornings as everything takes a bit longer to warm up etc.

You will probably find you will have even more energy for work etc. And it's so good to get it out of the way in the morning if you are a busy person and can be distracted by the end of the day.

I'd love to exercise more in the morning.
