Dumbbell exercises for arms?

Hey there, I Want get bigger arms but I don't know which exercises work best...

I have dumbbells at home that I can use so I want to know what the best exercises you can do with dumbbells are.

Now by best I mean exercises that focus on large muscle groups at the same time since I'm an amateur.

So please reply if you know you can help me because I think this is a popular question since the upper body is what people care about the most.

DB Bench Press - focuses on pecs, anterior delts and triceps.
DB Overhead Press - focuses on upper traps, anterior and middle delts, and triceps.
DB Rows (I prefer 1-arm DB Rows over trying to row both sides at once - has better leverage so you can focus more on lifting the weight and working the muscles) - focuses on lats, middle traps, posterior delts and biceps.
DB Upright Rows - focuses on upper traps, middle delts and biceps.

Exactly who is that cares most about upper body? People who care most about their upper body are usually training to have teh wimmenz hanging off their arms. But few people care most about someone else's upper body more than any other part. To a woman, muscle is muscle is muscle is muscle. Build up some strong legs with your upper body, and they'll tend to find that much more attractive than a strong upper body alone.

dont forget the rear delt shafdude or you'll look a bit daft. The lats dominate pulling movements, so isolation exercises here work well for the rear delt. This involves proper transvere extension - have a google of the term and note the position of the hand relative to the body (exrx is a good site for this). Also, sorry Goldfish but upright rows should absolutely never be advocated - the acromion process traps the subscapularis (will cause lasting damage). Jon
