Dukan Diet + H.I.I.T

Start Date: 30 May 2011
Weight : 99 Kgs
Height: 169 cm

Dukan Phase 1 :

I eat :
lots of protein only food(boiled or grilled chicken parts and some boiled red meat with spices)
I drink :
at least 2 litres of water and diet coke.
I exercise:
3 x per week for only 20 minutes on the treadmill @ speed 4.3 just to condition myself before hitting the high intensity interval workout.
Did some chest work out too - Bench press 10x3 - Incline 10x3 - Close grip bench press 10x3 (did this only on Wednesday)

will take my weight Saturday morning..stay tuned....
 
Welcome Dukan Diet! Glad to have you here. Do you have any weight goals? Are these things that you are planning on doing or is it something you currently are doing?
 
Yeah my weight goal will be between 85KG - 90KG. But the final scale reading is not my priority for now. I juts want to look good and feel good, get off some fat and build up some muscles.
 
Dukan Phase 2 + H.I.I.T

Yeah I started the Dukan diet phase one on Monday 30 May 2011. Now the phase 1 is over.
So I weight myself today, Saturday 11 June 2011 and it reads 97.5 KGS. :hurray:

Now its time to start Phase 2. Alternate Proteins and vegetables days. I'll post my planning for this week tonight.

Completed the phase one of the Dukan diet and i should admit that it was reallllyyyyyyyyyy hard to go through....because of the cravings.......sometimes i would kill just to get some carbs.....ouf luckily
its all behind me now.....

Big change I've found for today is that the cravings are over... you are more relax with the diet and feel less hungry...May be its due to the vegetables that i ate yesterday. So the planning for this second phase will be:

1: Alternate pure protein days with vegetables days - for vegetables I'll be eating lots of green veggies like lettuces, cabbages etc.......
2: Buy an HR monitor
3: Start the HIIT session
4: Do my weight lifting on days off HIIT
5: Have at least a day without exercise
6: Refill my oat brand stock...(love to eat them with yogurt 0% + aspartame based sweeteners)

Here it goes again will come back after a week with the scale results...

Hope that this trend is going to keep up..... I'm feeling way much better and in good shape..

Hi! I'm a newbie too (lol..., to this forum) What is the Dukan diet? I am not familiar with that one. I do love HIIT, and can't wait to build myself back up to that level.

Dukan diet is a cool new way to loss weight real fast. do a google search on THE DUKAN DIET and you'd come across tons of links that give you lots of info about it. Basically its divided into 4 phase.

Phase one - you eat only proteins rich food for a week

Phase two - you alternate proteins days with vegetable days - Duration : till you reach your target weight

Phase three - you start to add fruits to your diet and is allowed to have two 'eat what you' like meals per week with Thursdays being protein only day.

Phase four - go back to your normal eating habit with at least one day full protein.

Man combine all this with some HIIT plus weight training and you are sure to look WOW in a few days.......

Interesting. It sounds like a take "off" of the Atkins diet, but only at a faster pace. This all happens in the span of one week?
