Drugs induced weight gain. How to lose it?

Hey guys, I have been on a drug called prednisolone for my allergies for about 3 months. Now i'm on low dosage so have not been gaining any weight but I gained about 10kg during the 3 months. Having tummy and moobies. So yea, have been hitting the gym for one week, since i'm a med student, I can't appear unhealthy in front of my patients, since my tummy is so visible when I wear my formals. Have been running on treadmill for 30 mins oh wait, have been walking not running, and also cycling for 30 mins. I did not reduce my food intake, since doing so will give me gastric pain(another side effect of the drug). But just controlling by taking my three usual meals, and snacking some fruits in between.

The thing is, in this one week I did not lose even one kg, which really makes me sad. I only have like another 2 weeks before my holiday is coming to an end, I need to lose it before that. Any idea how? Thanks

Oh btw, i'm 162 cm and 56 kg, so my bmi is in the normal range. Just the tummy is the problem.

I really don't know of any other way than the same way that everyone else has to do it, except you may have to work even harder than most people to lose any weight. Do you have access to free weights or resistance machines at your gym? You may want to try adding a full body workout 3 days per week. On top of that, keep as active as possible and/or keep doing as much cardio as you can. Is there anything that you could change/improve about your meals without decreasing the volume of food that you eat?

i agree with PLBFitness. keep moving and eat as healthy as possible. drink lots of water! about 70% of your weight loss is "linked" to your diet....if that makes sense. i'm having a hard time putting that into a sentence haha.
